Why is it every other genre has aleast one, but not STGs?

I mean, if you look at a lot of shmup titles, 7/10 of them look like the japanese were having fun with random words or letter scramblers.

Think of the fun that could be had with random mix ups like "R-Down", "Timedius", or "Bacon Force".

So who's with me?

This has the potential to be huge, with multiple advanced parameters. For example, filtered to what games you play. So for Cavelunatics, you could get a random name that mixes in various Cave game elements that correlate to your real name.

Just in a train of thought here..

Only current problem is that it needs more "stuff" randomly pick from..eventually I started running into repeated names.
