MIDWEST MEGA BLACK LABEL DEATH MEET 11/20

Post by gunbird18 »

Hi,

Just wondering if any of the KC/STL peeps want to meet in the middle of the state. Please give me some ideas of possible dates in November. Steer clear of the Thanksgiving weekend, and I can host any other weekend. Chicago gangstas are welcome, but I know this is a 6+ hour trip, and this is just a quick fix.

November 20th is the tentative date.

Thanks!

Enjoy your CAVE shwag! - gunbird18

Take a good look at your calendars, boys. The Aero Table is lonely!

Alternate thread title: Beer and Pinball!

Let me know.

I'm actually off the whole week of Thanksgiving so that weekend before would probably be best.

Sounds good to me...

November 20th - tentative date.

Shoot them ups and mid 80's pinball. It gets no better.

What pins you have at the moment? Space Shuttle and Pin Beotch?

edit: Also, the date for me can be very flexible as that weekend is possibly bad for people with regard to travelling later in the week and school with tests

You know I'll be there! Pretty much any day is good with me. Schedule is open! I may see if Andi is down as well - could use some company on the drive!

Hopefully. I don't have any plans, but I'll have to try and get some work time off.

Yeah, the usual, unless one of you's wants to lug your Astros into a van.

I'm pretty sure drunken ninja has a super gun. And various consoles are welcome.

I will want things to get going by 10am, as the shmups will be numerous.

And we MUST have a high score challenge on one of the pins!

@drunkninja-DDP is required! But I will be tempted to make an offer on the board!

@stu-See what you can do, we would like to see you there!

Well, you have room for multiple cabinets, I'll have to see whats up. Its easier to drive one of my 2 cars to your house, but additional cabs is optimal. Dr. Boom has to put cabinets on his head and walk them down 3 flights of stairs, so I'm not sure if he is up to bringing an Astro or not.

Tate-able LCD, awww yeah!

Neo CD - bring it since that has never made an appearance at a meet.

Yeah, I can't expect Boom to haul his Astro, although he is full of surprises...

That may be one suprise too many...and unfortunately Dave is living in Cali now, so I can't snag his. I do have a number of boards - and Andi - that I can bring though!

I cannot make it. I have too much school and work going on. Now that I work weekends as well, the majority of my free time is spent catching up on homework rather than shmupping or pinballing. :x

Sorry to hear about that, Joe T. Haven't seen you at a meet since the first one! Good luck with your studies! That is more important than shmups! Kidding!

I have a request with the 360's being present. I would like to have a crack at Futari again, and the weird Mamoro-kun game, or however it is spelled. I thought it looked interesting, but I never sat down to play it at the last meet.

Wow! Dave is in Cali now? How cool is that? Will miss him at the meet, though!

Be sure to bring Andi and those 5 star boards!

So has anyone bought anything new since the last time? Which I guess was May? I've bought a bunch of weird shit, go figure. I have an MV-1FZ now so we can play some MVS if anyone wants.

Not much...

Just Sengoku Ace recently.

I need to get back all my good stuff I sold.

F3 set with KKT 2 and Gekirindan
ST-V set with Souky
Galuda
Mahou
Garegga

I did get a PGM Mobo and Martial Masters on the cheap. Does anyone have any good carts???

Yes, bring the MVS rig. I always like the Slugs, and I have Metal Slug X with no way of playing it.

I have Demon Front, and almost every non fighting MVS game worth owning other than a few really expensive ones I haven't broken down and bought yet.

Well, as mentioned, I got a NeoGeo CD. And thanks to it's DC-like ease of running burned games, I got myself a playable copy of Ironclad  . Would still love to have the real thing, but considering the price it goes for, this'll do for now. It's a pretty interesting game, and pretty in-depth for a shmup.

I'd be down for going if I can get off. I don't know if I have much to bring to contribute, though. I've got a PC-Engine Duo-R but with no shmups...:( Everything else I have I'm pretty sure everyone else would have...Unless people want to play Windjammers on MVS.

See if you can get away! We would like to see you here! Don't worry about contributions, most of these guys have a pretty hefty arsenal of games. The Duo - R would be great, but I don't have any of the shmups either. Windjammers is a great 2 player game, bring it!

Ninja - IRONCLAD

Stu - You know what to bring...DF and DB!!!

caldwert - bring Demon Front! There are a lot of people that don't like this game, but I like everything about this game. Awesome backgrounds, funny characters!!!
