Re: Homura (new thread)
How about the donations for third_strike´s capture device, did they cover the price completely? If not, I´d like to donate something as I actually have some money left right now. I don´t have Homura and not even a PS2 yet, but this is my most wanted shooter and the replay will definitely come in handy sooner or later.

Re: Homura (new thread)
I have the list of everyone who donated, Battletoad. If I remember correctly, we were still short of getting the whole amount.
I'll check it later and post a full report here.

Re: Homura (new thread)
I hate this list. I had not Enhasa, Limbrooke and m3tall1ca in mind when I started this. Kollision eu que estou em debito com você. Like I said the device have not utility to me I just used it to do what I was asked to those I was asked. I just thought $75 is a good amout of money in my country (third world) and nothing in others. I really prefer think I was wrong, because I put a good part from me in this, my fight now is to bring it back ( I really changed a lot after this).Kollision wrote: People who donated:

I'd hate that list too if I were you.
Unbelievable.
I played a few rounds today and improved stage 1 again:

Just something to get started. I forgot to take a look at the hit counter (rather didn't know that it isn't included in the scoreboard).

Accidentally picked easy route in stage 3, but asides I avoided stupid deaths and chainbreaks for quite the first time (except the end of stage 3).

Got to the boss again, but it's still mainly chaotic what I do in stage 4. Second half of stage 3 also isn't good at all yet, but it's just lack of practice. I'll definitely go on, just have too less time to play lately. Aiming for 1.5 billion at least, I'd say.

Re: Homura (new thread)
Alright, had a too long break from this... but now getting back to play. That run had already much more potential, but a chainbreak in stage 4 and game over shortly after the midboss ruined it a bit. Well I should at least have more time for Homura now.

Yeah not bad at all. I just screwed up the 2nd part of the stage 2 boss horribly. Two deaths and one bomb. Still hate that bastard. :/
I'm still far away from beating stage 4, but scoring becomes better continuously. There should still be potential for another 100 or 200 million with just reaching the stage 4 boss like this time.

I'm partly happy about the new score, but still gave away so much potential. Had a stupid thunder attack at the ship barrages in stage 4 which ruined my multiplier. And I should at least have defeated the first part of the boss. But even with two extra lives I somehow managed to mess it up. Died with 2 or 3 bombs left then. Anyway, otherwise it was a neat run.
EDIT: Woh this score got me into the top 5 with as little room as possible so to speak. ^^

Whoa! Totally didn't expect to beat the 4th boss, especially after once again losing too many lives until the beginning of that boss fight. Pretty good run overall with some usual mistakes here and there. I played totally shitty before that run (I'm kinda inebriated), so the surprise was even bigger. In stage 5 I died after one single slash though, but no complaint about that.
I still have to learn to use the last thunder attack before the stage 4 midboss (like in third_strike's replay), haven't ever executed it yet, but it doesn't seem that difficult and should give me another score boost.

Gotta get rid of this unintentional enemy slashing in the 2nd half of stage 4. Was too slow there due to pure stupidity, let off the shot button and wasted potential firepower to destroy one of the ship barrages a bit faster...
But otherwise it was all I can wish for so far. I almost broke 400 millions in stage 1 and entered the 4th one with 938 millions.
