Help with video in "indian" english

Post by Shatterhand »

I am doing some research work for my university, and I need to translate to portuguese what's being said in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DafV2zVZY8Y

My english is far from perfect... so understanding someone speaking english in an accent is even harder to me. I can make out most of the words, but some phrases are really hard to understand (The music in the background doesn't help either).

Could someone please be a nice guy and write down what's being said in this video, so I could translate it to portuguese? I would be very grateful.. it's a very short video. There would be a "thank you" in the final article for whoever can help me :)

It's far from perfect and I can't get the name of his district (I don't think you care so much about that, though), and I'm not positive about one part, but it might help you anyway...

My name is Dr Madan Kataria, I live in (?) Bombay, India, and people call me the laugh doctor. One day inspiration came to me like a divine light, I discovered the beneficial effect of laughter. Laughter boosts your immune system and relaxes the mind. So I started laughter clubs. At first there were five of us [0:36-0:38?] Now there are hundreds of laughing clubs all over India and the world. Laughter really is the best medecine. Everyone can discover this. Hahaha.

Opinions on the uncertain parts: As far as I can tell he said, "I live and work in Bombay, India." He isn't naming a district. The later part sounds like, "At first we were five of us," to me.

The rest is good.
