Some people seem to still be able to get the site. My guess is that the DNS change hasn't fully propagated. The who is information has definitely changed though. Aksys confirmed the issue on twitter.

They didn't get jacked, they just somehow allowed their domain to expire. It's all sorted out now.

They were probably still in a grace period. Another month or so and the domain would have been out on the open market.
