Offering services

Post by raigon50 »

I've been thinking about it for a long time. I'm looking to join a development group if anyone is looking for members. I got a good mind for original ideas and I can also make music. I'm at a school computer at the moment, but I'll post some links to music later. I make a little bit of everything, so making something to fit a shmup would be no problem.

Well, I'm definitely interested to hear what you can do music wise. :)

Very nice work! I haven't listened to them all yet; but my favorites so far are probably Bad Apple and Dreaming in a Glass Jar. Big kudos on having a Soulbazer remix too!

I dunno about a team, mine is usually just me and whoever I can find to make/donate music...lol; but I'd love to have you on board for that or just use some of what you have already if that'd be possible. :)

Sounds great to me. I wasn't really wanting to be in a very big group anyways, I just want to be part of something. I like you're games too, so it's even better. :D
If you need anything made, aks me and I'll try my best.

Oh neat, is that a remix of the infamous Bad Apple song, using genesis instruments? It worked out well!

Thanks. You wouldn't believe how much of a pain in the @$$ it was to make it sound legit...

Cool. :D

I'm pretty much open to anything style-wise; but if I had any guidelines, it would be that any songs need to be ~ 1 minute or longer, loopable and generally, well... energetic (I doubt that'll be a problem for you.)

The one I'm working on now (ZPF) jumps between themes, too... so it's even more open to musical variety. So far I have three:

Bio horror themed - think R-Type
Fantasy themed - think Lords of Thunder
Near future themed - think just about any generic shmup with modern-but-vaguely-futuristic-looking weaponry such as tanks and choppers.

edit: here's some footage showing off each level briefly (sorry about the crap quality, though.)

So yeah, let me know if you want to try one out... or if you need any more info or whatever.

Okay, I've finished part of the first track. It's gona turn out to be either for the Alien level, or the Futuristic city level. It all depends on what the lead synth turns out to sound like. I'll send you what I have done so far later. I would like to have a small test version or whatever of the game though. It will make things a lot easier for me.

Also, maybe sometime if you'd like, I could share with you a few ideas I've had for shmups. I want to get some ideas out in the public. Whether they get made or not, I really don't care. I just want to share ideas.

Sure thing. Just PM me your email and I'll send you what I've got so far. The levels are really short at the moment and need lots of work, though.

As for sharing ideas, knock yourself out. Lots of people do that here. :D
