I have just sold a couple of items for a friend of mine. Final value was 488.00.
OK, I have looked to see how much EBay will take, but i'm not sure. Is it 3.5 percent for anything after 25 dollars?
I sold a couple of things too, so i'm not sure how much to charge him. I don't want to overcharge him either.
EBay percentage question..help.

Re: EBay percentage question..help.
Did you set a reserve price? Were additional pics posted? Was there a "buy it now" option?
Ebays fee system is so convoluted and asinine.. I refuse to sell anything there.
There are just far too many options available for which they charge you for.
...And dont forget that Paypal (an ebay company) gets their 4% cut as well if you elect to use them.

I'm not too concerned about the insertion fees and all that. Just how much they will take out of the final value.

Go "My eBay" and look at "help" along the left. Look up each category.
Of course the best way to tell is when you get your monthly statement.
If you want to add just a number of items, you will want to calculate them separately: Find each item's fee ranking, calculate the fee for that item, add to a list, add up list when done.
