Values of Phoenix Vs. Non-Phoenix CPS2 boards
Values of Phoenix Vs. Non-Phoenix CPS2 boards
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? It seems like some people value non-Phoenixed stuff more than Phoenixed. I'm just kinda wondering why. Does it REALLY matter? And if so, why?

Re: Values of Phoenix Vs. Non-Phoenix CPS2 boards
You can always Phoenix something. You can never un-Phoenix (restore to factory state) something. Some people gripe about the Phoenix text popping up when the game boots. Value of originals is probably more of a collector's gig than anything. If you like playing the games, who cares about a bit of text at the start.

Re: Values of Phoenix Vs. Non-Phoenix CPS2 boards
I always thought phoenixed boards went for a little bit (ca. 10%) more on account of the cost of the mod and the reduced risk?
Re: Values of Phoenix Vs. Non-Phoenix CPS2 boards
what does phoenixed actually mean? I thought it just meant that the battery had been changed?
Re: Values of Phoenix Vs. Non-Phoenix CPS2 boards
It's a mod that makes CPS2 boards run without a battery.
