Uhh...the game says ALL3, and I received the ending after the tank boss, but I did not fight the TLB due to a stupid death on the Ph.1 boss. I was under the impression that makes this an ALL2. ??? Either way, the replay is up on XBL.

Anyway, I think I'm done for a while. The analog stick just isn't cutting it, and I feel bad whoring out a Slave. Time to get a Saturn pad hacked and the Chaser 2000 fired up.

Fun fact: Today's previous score was 99,917,924. I was pissed.

if you no missed through level 45 you must have let a boss time out, that's the only thing i can of that would prevent you from going to real phase 1...i think

how!? i can manage to quick shot that boss. you don't get the bonus, but still, i kill it before it even shoots. how you timed out on that boss AND no missed that bossed boggles the mind. you must have quite the skills to dodge that crap

I had only one bomb and was dumb and forgot the bottom turrets blew up if you damaged the main part of the sub enough, so bombed those and was left completely dry for the rest of the fight... to top it off I had picked up a missile powerup beforehand, and Ixion's missile is terrible.

I also have had a lot of dodging practise on that particular boss because of STGT '09.

Anyways I finally managed to get a proper ALL3. No bombs, no lives remaining. Kinda lucky to get it because I was >THIS< close to being hit by one of the bullets. Kinda funny that my previous ALL3 didn't kill the TLB and ended at... 99.7mil. I was pissed. I did a shitton of practise of stages 5, 30 and 45, managing to get all the micluses on them as well as all three DX bonuses and had my luckiest phase 1 ever. I think the only planes I didn't quickshot were the last 7 or 8 because those sniper planes that are streaming in from both sides make that... tricky. I need to figure something out to deal with those as well as getting the bonuses. Phase 2 went as poorly as ever, lost a life on the first tank wave when I was being an idiot and going for the fairies the first two spat out. :/

Playing an actual fighter is a hugely different experience from playing a slave ship. So much harder in some stages... I'm happy with this. Maybe I'll go back to RF2 and try and clear it with the Hell Diver or something..

I put a small amount of time into RFJ lately and got quite a good Normal score, but everything always falls apart when I play on Arcade difficulty.

Slight improvement. Kinda. I used the slave for this. Missed a miclus on sim stage 45. Well, kinda. I triggered it but shoot it enough so I only had two subs at the end of the stage instead of 3. Everything else went well, only lost one life and that was right before the TLB died.

Man, Yagawa's got nothing on these guys for tough-as-nails dynamic rank (so shoot me ).

Getting closer to perfection on a perfect game. Too bad the sound's borked though. I've mainly practiced proper scoring using the Japan version but did a run of the US version by accident and hit my personal best which actually got me a not-last-place position on the highscore table.

EDIT: Improved my run, and on the Japan version instead of the US version too so edited screenshot and score accordingly. Damn getting to that boss was quite the adreanaline rush.
