Difference between TATE and TATE HOSE

The thread name says it all what is the difference between the two?

The later one is a compressed video mode. Arika's PS2 Cave ports use a very high horizontal resolution in regular tate and many TVs will cut of the Edges due to their overscan. If you choose Tate hose instead a lower active horizontal resolution is used. The additional scaling causes blurriness though.

I'd say squeezing 5:4 to 4:3. :lol:
