I'm talking about parts that might make you put down the controller on an otherwise great experience.
First that come to mind for me--
R-type Final: the slowdown on the huge ship level. Give me a break.
R-type Delta: if I die on the snow walker level, sometimes I can't bear to take another stroll with him.
Viper Phase 1: the second time you've got to fight battleships in space is a little of a downer.
Battle Garegga: a LONG flight through the clouds sure builds some tension-- can't wait to fly over some pretty ground.
Mushihimesama: what's exciting about a boring close up of a puddle for a whole level?
Er....I like some of those games very much-- i wouldnt put the controller down on the last three, but I still offer those criticisms.
Anyone else got some?
"Critical" Moments- vent.
Re: "Critical" Moments- vent.
I've got one.
Gradius III - The goddamn crystal stage and any place after that. I'm pretty patient but this stage will bring me to tears if I let it.

Alright I've got one.
Crimzon Clover... 40 GODDAM SECONDS BETWEEN THE "Game Over" SCREEN AND THE TIME YOU CAN RESTART?!?!
...Are you kidding me?! I hate to think of how much of my life I've wasted on this.
Not to mention that once you do restart, you've got to watch the intro animation again, with no way to skip it.
