I would prefer a proper console release... good news anyway. Haven't played the second one but first game was superb.

I found out about this a bit ago. Was super excited- then saw what it was for.

Still excited, just not *as* excited.

Good news for Legends fans though still I think :D

Yeah, it seems a shame to take a console based direct sequel to a handheld platform. Still need to finish playing through 1 & 2, heh.

Damn. Mega Man 9, Starcraft II, Duke Nukem Forever and Legends 3 in a three-year span? What the fuck are we going to call 'never' now?

I'm excited, I was already planning on picking up a 3DS anyway, this just sweetens the deal even more

Yeah, I'm getting really sick of handheld sequels and the like. I have no beef against handhelds, I just don't really enjoy playing on them (they make me tired and ruin my eyes).

A high profile game series, which hasn't had a sequel in over 10 years, should never get a handheld sequel. Ever.

I know it sounds like I'm trolling but I'm really not, I just want to look forward to something without having to buy a device which I won't use for anything but. It's this kind of thing which puts me off new technology.

Oh, and why the hell is the 3DS 250 dollars. I guess Nintendo are aware that Wii owners are bored, and will buy anything they shit out, just like Apple.

Don't worry. They will later re-release it for the Wii (Or the Wii-3d), and will feature... MOTION CONTROLZZZZZZZZ!!!!111.

Probably as a downloadable title, too. :?

Don't worry about it. You can travel from the Milky Way to Andromeda and back 1500 times before the sun explodes.

Sweet. Beat MML1 and didn't have to buy a map for it.
T.Bonne in MVC3 should have been the tip off.

I am so dumb for not figuring it out - there is such a strong vein of promoting current properties running thu MvC3 that Tron stood out like a sore thumb.

Anyway, I don't care about MML3 as I didn't play the first two and I have no intention of buying a 3DS anytime soon, but if it gets me Tron in Mahvel and Elixir's bitter tears then it's gotta be a good thing.

Nice to see a 3D series finally get put out to pasture on one of Nintendo's overpriced rattles.

That would be the phony moral grandstanding. It's not like Elixir actually gives a shit about that unless it's grist for his mill.

I like handhelds when they have the software I want - I try not to live by arbitrary 'principles' like insisting on a big screen or whatever. They're typically a good platform for more abstract game types that often have to make more creative concessions when they're forced into lush modern console environments along with the resultant expectations than when they're forced onto a dinky little screen. Also, I'd totally rather play Arkanoid on a DS than a 360 (please don't make me play Arkanoid).

If you are serious about playing Legends 2 and Misadventures of Tron Bonne, be prepared to shell out about $100 :? Don't know why those have blown up over the last couple years.

I got a copy of MML2 at a local game shop for $10 about a year ago. No idea how it ended up at that price, considering the place is pretty notorious for identifying and jacking up the price on "in-demand" games (they sell freakin' Legend of Zelda on NES cart-only for $20! WTF), but hey. Of course, I expect eBay prices and such to go up further now, at least for a while.

Seriously? I got Legends 1 and 2 really cheap back in the day when EB stocked used PS1 games.

Yes because everyone wants to see their favourite childhood series reduced to a handheld after years of nothing.

Speaking of, the next Gradius isn't even a shmup and is for cellphones only, enjoy.

Yeah, IIRC, it was probably about 2-3 years ago that I got my sealed Legends 2 and Tron Bonne for about $30 each. Used, Legends 1 can be had for $20ish, now, but it's Legends 2 and Tron Bonne that seem to have really blown up. If anyone has a sealed black label Legends one they want to make some $ off of, please shoot me a PM! :D

Does story even matter with these games? The japanese PSP double pack should be cheap.

On that note: Rockman DASH Big 5 Island Adventure

For me it does. Very charming. The story/charm help overcome the clunkiness of early 3D game tech. Was there no domestic release of the Legends games on PSP? Shocking if not.
