Looks like i will be local to the area on the 27th-29th of August.

Not a lot in the way of shmups but if theres something i can bring along give me a buzz. My MVS collection is pretty hardcore with all the major KOF games.

I may put in a guest appearance today. Performance will depend largely on how many beers I've had beforehand.

This arcade machine-based art gallery has opened not far from Casino. Anybody been yet? If not, let's make a visit!

It's been quiet few weeks as we're all plugging away at STGT'10.

By the way - I bought myself a Dodonpachi DOJ kit. Anybody interested in that going in Casino? Maybe when we loose Ketsui?

And where the fuck is mr_m0nks? Has anyone heard from him?

Great CIT. I'll do my best to be there one of those evenings. My diary (the one in my head!) is empty for that weekend, but I'd better check with my wife who is far better at remembering when we've promised to meet with friends or go to a gig or wedding or something. Pretty sure I'm free one of those nights though, so it would be great to welcome you to our dingy arcade! We can go visit some others as well if we have time. Hopefully we can get a handful of us down there...

Sweet! I'll PM you my cell phone number so we can hook up.

What are some of the other arcades in Soho worth visiting? Back when I lived in London I went to Namco World a lot, but that was ages ago and it's probably closed down right?

Namco World is still going, but I've never been there - perhaps we should change that. Really there's just the Troc other than that, but they've got some new stuff in there recently.

As I said in my PM to you, my wife is off on a holiday with her girl mates that weekend causing absolute carnage, so I'm free the whole time. Hopefully a few of us can meet when you stop by.

Rupert H, Dan76, CHI, Ravid, Taylor, mr_m0nks and co might be around. I'll send a group PM sometime soon...

Count me in, I'm all up for meeting fellow shmuppers from around the globe.

Namco Station is still running (opposite the Houses of Parliament) but Namco Wonderpark (Piccaddilly Circus) has long-since closed. Station has very little in the way of decent games (not one single shmup that I can recall) where as Wonderpark was arguably the only Japanese arcade ever to grace the UK, hence we all frequent Casino instead.

Of course - another example of me being confused!

It was like a dream... :(

Guys, are you all coming to this beginning of November? If you're not, you're basically all nuts. Even Gail Porter's going.
