This is where I bought the stand pieces from:Fudoh wrote:Do you have a name or link for the TV stand shown on the first pictures ? I'm ahead of buying a new TV set and the old one will likely go into permanent tate and I'm not sure yet, if the wall I plan to install it on will support my old set (52").

Thank you. With this setup I get to enjoy the cave shmups on X360 in 240P.emphatic wrote:That looks great, trunk!

it's only clean when I want to take a picture of it :p
Slightly OT, I hear people recommend buying an arcade monitor and building a case for it. Has anyone actually done this? I can't find pictures or mentions anywhere.
Hey, just put it in some sort of plastic container/crate. Preferably with some air holes so your cat won't suffocate.Kingbuzzo wrote:Also, I know if I made a case it would look so ghetto :p

I love how they put a CAVE game in one of their demo pictures:Kingbuzzo wrote:GP mentioned a small jp company that cases up monitors. Sent me this link showing off some of their work.

Awesome, you've basically answered my question as to whether you can rotate a plasma. What model TV is the plasma? I have the Panasonic TH42PZ85U, which (I hope) should be TATE-able.lmagus wrote:24" monitor and 50" plasma tv
That monitor was the first thing I ever bought for shmups, as I was just starting to get addicted to PS2 emulation (Mushihimesama and Espgaluda)
The TV stand was bought last week, I only set it up 2 days ago...
I put those books there just to be silly. It's the Cave history book and the Touhou spellcard book...

I made this about a year ago with 18mm MDF (including bezel). It wasn't a difficult build, but I took my time to get the measurements right, so that the monitor frame was a tight fit (helps keep the case rigid). I gave the measurements to the DIY store and they cut the MDF for me, ensuring nice straight edges.Kingbuzzo wrote:mesh control wrote:...I hear people recommend buying an arcade monitor and building a case for it.
