Raiden Fighters Aces Games on Demand question

Hey,

Anyone know if I purchase Raiden Fighters Aces from the US market place on my Jap 360 will it work? I know the retail is region locked but don't know if that carries over to the GOD games.

Yeah, all Games On Demand are region locked, and even the US retail disc copy of RFA is region locked and won't play on a JP console. Also, Japan Games On Demand are IP-locked. When you go to download any games on demand from Japan marketplace, it says the download is not available to you because it sees your IP address is not Japanese.

Not true. Games On Demand titles retain the same region status of the retail counterpart. For example, GoD Halo 3 will run on any region console, just like the retail release.

Also, Japan Games On Demand are IP-locked.

Not just Japan GoD titles - GoD titles from all regions are IP locked. Also, to say that a GoD title is IP locked is something of a misnomer. It's just the authentication process to download a GoD title that is IP locked. The game itself is not IP locked. Eg - you can only download the US version of Halo 3 (from the US Marketplace) using a US IP address, but once it has been downloaded, it will work on any region console, in any region, regardless of IP address.
