Bakraid - most accessible, clean polished feeling
Garegga - most brutal, gritty badass feeling
Batrider - most unique, goofy quirky feeling

They all have their pros but I gravitate towards Bakraid because I can actually do fairly well in it. Soukyugurentai and Dimahoo are my favorite Raizing games though.

Garegga for music atmosphere and all round original gritty hardcoreness
Batrider for consistent scoring tricks no pure luck bullshit like flamingoes and nuff content
Bakraid for successfully creating an accessible game for survivors and a hardcore beast for scorers and a first boss i cannot fucking chain for shit ever .

Batrider is the best of the bunch by far because they toned down the ridiculous rank from Garegga and it doesn't contain the stupid as hell chaining system from Bakraid.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Battle Garegga. Presentation wise, I prefer it to the settings of Bakraid and Batrider and the music is definately better. In terms of gameplay, definately my favorite with all the enemies with multiple moving pieces that one can take out piece by piece.

Batrider - Welcome to Violent City. Need I say more?
Garegga - Great fun but the hard to see bullets frustrate me.

Bakraid is my favorite of the three by far. Garegga I've just never been able to get anywhere on, and Batrider is just a pain to try to figure everything out. I also happen to like the music in Bakraid as well.

Definitely Batrider for its flexibility, accessibility, and tons of content to have fun time with. You can just dive into a Normal mode with a predefined team or solo character for careless playing experience, or you can go with Advanced, choose specifically what stages and in what order you're going to visit, and drive the rank up. Or play the boss rush. Or play the boss practice mode at low and high rank. This game is completely customizable and pretty much everything Garegga was criticized for is fixed there in some way. It's 100% polished and masterfully done in every respect.

Worse music compared to Garegga, though. :(

Similar sentiments to others here regarding all three games, but I'm a more of a Bakraid whore.

Garegga is number one of course. It's the best game ever created. You can kill flamingoes for big money.

Batrider is second. It's very good, the characters drive on motorcycles and have a killerinstinct to kill stuff.

Haven't played Bakraid, but I heared it has invisible chaining going on, which sounds awfully awesome.

Garegga <3 . By far the best game I've ever played, and still play.
Batrider has limitless depth, and is great fun. Needs plenty of time to get back into though.
Bakraid is a funny one: accessible, but has a devious Raizing-style take on chaining.

Garegga - One of the best shmups ever.
Batrider - WELCOME TO VIOLENT CITY. Also, tons of bonus-bosses.
Bakraid - Very fun! In my opinion, the music is little worse than in Batrider or Garegga.

Garegga is my favorite of the three. The invisible bullets are my only complaint. Favorite shmup as well.

Bakraid is my No. 2. I really like the music (sounds a little Capcom-inspired at times, to me) and the gameplay has something for everyone.

Batrider is still a great game, but I gravitate towards the other two more. Not really sure why, there aren't any flaws or failings in Batrider. I guess I just like the other two better.

Batrider, Garegga then Bakraid.

I can't get into Bakraid for some reason.

It doesn't feel as extreme Garegga and lacks the character found in Batrider.

Garegga, probably because it really got me into this. Ikaruga might have got my attention, but Garegga showed me what it's really about.

then Batrider, balls on fun with a ton of secrets, crazy detail, and great music.

Batrider.

Because its the one I generally do best in and it has plenty of variety. Batrider has the best bosses too. Also the bullets are a little easier to see, unlike in Garegga where they're nearly invisible >_>

I never played Bakraid though. I should probably give it whirl at some stage.

Garegga - Love it for it's mood, style, music and awesome bosses.
Batrider - That one has scoring that can be either accessible or very hard but that depends on what you're aiming for. It is accessible when you just to try to medal chain. HOWEVER it becomes a pain if you also want to score due optional bosses. Also great music/ship design. Plus the later bosses are VERY awesome (especially grubby O_O)
Bakraid - Oooh my favorite (No BEEP sherlock, I 1cc'd advanced course), while it may be accessible on normal. Advanced will whoop your ass pretty quickly (around stage 6) and it doesn't get any easier later PLUS the last boss CAN BE far worse in difficulty than Glow Squid if you're unlucky/didn't manipulate rank well enough. The music is neat, the ship design is cool however what makes it my favorite is that it can be either be accessible or only be for garegga experts who need to learn chaining. You get it.

Garegga is kind of old - the gameplay is not polished enough. Also enemie's bullets are kind of invisible.
Bakraid and Batrider have many planes, and the speed of each one could be changed 2 or 3 times on the selection screen; so each of those games have quite a big replayabillity. If Batrider is better than Bakraid, it is not much... It is strange that on the "Top 25 of All Time" Batrider is 4th and Bakraid is 54th.
All the three introductions are very good; as Dimahoo's and 1944's. Maybe Raizing has the best introductions as overall? "i"-s in "Raizing" also do nazi's SS.

Then you obviously haven't payed much attention to the gameplay-side of the games. Only from their looks, I'd agree, they are quite similar. Gameplaywise they are different worlds.

Garegga.

I like it's music, and gritty look. I'm also much better at it than Batrider. I like Batrider, but I don't like it's look or music much at all, and i'm terrible at it.

Bakraid is cool, but it's got problems with it's looks.

Batrider: I'd like this game much more if I didn't have to use the aura attack :p (in fact, when I started playing, I enjoyed chaining and freestyling, but now, there's so much places where you can mess up and die). Get close to enemies, and if you misremember their attacks or forget what you should be doing next, when more enemies come, you die. I like the hidden bosses, stages and the guest characters though.

Garegga: since I've played Batrider first, I felt that it was easier to gain (no pun intended) lives here, plus I didn't have to worry about getting close to enemies as much. Flexible enough (in terms of what risks you choose to take, how to chain/bomb something/dismantle something/what you can do to survive or to score better), and has less things that I should keep in mind, and/or those are easier to internalize.

Bakraid: haven't played it for score yet (I mean, I was treating this game like Batrider, before knowing about aura usage.. and multipliers of course :D), I remember having fun reaching stage 6 on the few times I played it (don't remember which difficulty I chose)
