Not sure which version we should be playing - indeed, the difference is pretty small as far as I'm aware. For convenience (since it's the base rom), I suggest the US version.
Oh, and if you already posted a score on the Japanese version, that's okay, since the difference is small enough to let it slide, and it would be kinda unfair to outlaw scores because of my omission.

@dex
is it ok if i turn down the difficulty level to level 3 if i'm playing on a jap pcb or can i still play on level4?
will get the pcb the next few days and wanna know at what dif. level i should play.
everyone who mentioned the region for now have played jap. (maybe we stay with that)

Both will do, honestly. The difficulty difference is pretty small (though palpable). So, just suit yourself, but US version or Japanese at difficulty 3 is preferred.CRI wrote:is it ok if i turn down the difficulty level to level 3 if i'm playing on a jap pcb or can i still play on level4?

Small improvement, but I´ve got a USB pad now which should help to attain the 12th digit. Will switch to US version tomorrow.

Interesting game. I heard a lot of talk about it when I first came to these forums, but I've never played it before tonight. I think I'm starting to get the hang of how it works. Very different than anything I've played before. Here are some screens.

Now I'm going to look at the scoreboard and see how bad this is.

I've had fun before, and this game isn't it...

The Coop - Team Oldschoolers - 16,130,058,800 - 245,742 - 5 - Mosquito 2 - MAME
I honestly don't see my score going much higher. I get to the same point, with the same basic score, no matter how much better I seem to do with the fucking timed chaining, or how much I use that shotgun-like shot. I'm just not making any progress.
