I'd say plasma is the way to go in general (that's just me being anal about the black levels and color brightness)... but you can get LCDs that are pretty awesome to. I'd be more concerned with the model TV 1st. Some plasmas suck, some LCDs suck ect.

Regardless if you are using a LCD or plasma for low resolution games... a upscaler is a MUST or it won't matter if it's LCD, LED, Plasma whatever.... it will look like crap and probably lag.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

For the same result a plasma will always be cheaper than a LCD. The Panasonic plasmas' RGB/YUV 240p picture is rather good. Much better than on any LCD. On a LCD you'll quite certain need something like a XRGB to make it look great.

I've never seen a low res game on a plasma... interesting to hear they look all right.

You really can go either way. On high end Panny PDPs, it really does look like a huge flat panel CRT (when fed 240p RGB) - uncanny indeed. There are other things that bother me too much with current PDPs, so I'm taking a wait and see approach.

Perhaps the new smaller GT25 line will work for me:

:? 8)

The marketing info states the 1/3 decay time that is the same as the VT2x series... but my eyes will be the judge of that (hoping for quicker)!
