The 2010 Clothes/Outfit/ Snazzy attire thread.
Alright guys/gal(s). How do you dress? I'm looking for some ideas myself, so I'd love to see some styles. Figured this was as good of a place as any considering the mixing pot we have going on here.

Deathsmiles is the inspiration for my daily attire
Re: The 2010 Clothes/Outfit/ Snazzy attire thread.
In the summer I dress for comfort. Tokyo is just too amazingly hot and humid for anything more than shorts and t-shirts. In the winter I dress for style.
I buy all my clothes during my twice-a-year trips back to Texas. Japanese clothes are all too tight (No, I'm not fat - just tall) and they are usually over priced, poorly made garbage. We have an Abercrombie & Fitch outlet store in my city that I frequent. Call it overexposed or not your image, or whatever but I think that some of A&Fs clothes are durably built and fashionable. Their jeans, pants, sweaters, jackets, coats, and button-up shirts are top-notch at outlet store prices(never, never buy their t-shirts).. Not sure I would pay the retail prices for them though. I never buy anything with an A&F logo, as I think thats tacky and I don't get paid to advertise their brand and honestly without it, they just look like generic, well made clothes. Which I like.
Also I own a skateboard shop, so I wear a lot of stuff from there since its super cheap for me..
As for the smaller things, I am very particular. I ALWAYS wear Banana Republic boxer shorts (again, from the outlet store - 5 for $10.00), Hanes socks and white under-shirts, and Etnies shoes.

Clothes are good to have around. Don't remember when the last time was that I bought some or really cared unless it was for a specific purpose like backpacking/traveling.

You do see the irony in asking about fashion on a shmups forum right?
anyway I like flypaper and dkny jeans.
i'll usually wear them with whatever kind of plaid or button down shirt looks good.

Some truth to that.apple arcade wrote:You do see the irony in asking about fashion on a shmups forum right?
I'm a fashion snob myself, especially denim.
Dry Denim is really nice. Wear em for 6 months to a year with no wash. Then you wash
them and have a unique pair of jeans.
http://www.cultizm.com is just about the best site to buy dry denim. Good prices, everything is authentic
and shipping is extremely fast considering it's coming from Germany.
Brands to check out (extra info)
Nudie (Personal fav Jean. Swedish company. Often made in Italy. Typically use Japanese Denim)
http://www.nudiejeans.com/fitguide
Evisu (Japanese company. Often made in Japan or USA. Typically use Japanese Denim)
Edwin (Japanese company. Made all over. Typically use Japanese Denim)
As far as just "clothes" in general. http://www.giltman.com is an awesome site.
Daily sales. Huge markdowns. Everything is authentic.
Rancor - I have no experience with Japanese brand clothing other than their jeans so I can't speak for tops, jackets, etc, etc.
But Japanese Denim (not necessarily a Japanese brand) is typically regarded as the best denim made due to the looms used.
Samurai, Fullcount, Sugar Cane. All Japanese brand clothing. nothing cheap about the quality (and price).

Jeans and shirt. I'm quite a conservative dresser and I dislike t-shirts with prints on them (except those done by Lordstar of course)

Black jeans, band shirts and boots or Converse.

Yes, our jeans = awesome. I even have a manufacturer in my home town: http://www.undertexter.se/?p=subtitle&id=82295
I wear that and Lordstar tees. Alright, I wear other tees as well, but not as often.

...For real.. TJ Max, Marshalls, and Ross are where it's at. Sometimes I cant believe some of the stuff they get in at rock-bottom prices.
