YES !!!!!
This was the first time I 1CC'd it in a score run.
I still made several BIG mistakes in this run.
In a flawless run, a little under 2,5 billions are possible with my current strategies.
I would like to thank everyone here for encouraging me.
It seems everybody else believed more in me than I did
Only a few weeks ago, I honestly did not in the least expect that I would be able to get a score like this (see previous posts
)
The biggest THANK YOU goes to you, third_strike !
Without your replay and some of your strategies, this score would not have been possible at all.

Re: Homura (new thread)
Congrats for this outstanding effort!
I´d also really like to play this, but first I´d have to get a PS2... and this won´t be very soon I guess.
Now play something else for score.

Now I got time to comment better.
First thing, congrats man you seek you get this can't be wrong.
Today you do my day happy. I can't express how I got happy when I saw your score. Indeed I am smiling until now.
Sorry I can't reply your score now, since I am very busy and weak in later days and will get this way until last month. But pretty sure I will challange you in next future.
Now, can you say me your score and multiplier in each stage? I need this registered for future
Cool!

Re: Homura (new thread)
you shot down all those enemies in the background at the beginning of the stage! i thought for sure that would have given you 100% on your destruction rate, i guess not though. what a sweet score!abschüssig wrote:Here's the icing on the cake![]()

Still with x58 multiplier.
In the last few days, I made several runs with over 2,4 billions.
But I keep making too many mistakes...

Re: Homura (new thread)
You is in one position where any improviment in score is a huge improviment. But where each small mistake (mainly that you did't do in your max score run) is a big mistake. But I keep making too many mistakes...
Is very easy get mad in this situation.

Re: Homura (new thread)
And back down to earth with a shitty score , getting back into this though such a good game like seriously ppl get involved .@abschüssig excellent work man i hope you choose another skonec game to attack next one the psyvariars preferably

This is ridiculous, I arrived at the TLB with my last life and still got this score
I guess I should be happy about the improvement but I'm starting to get really pissed again instead because so much more is possible

Re: Homura (new thread)
you should start recording your runs in the chance that you do beat the world record. it's likely to happen soon. i can't wait to see what game you destroy next

Re: Homura (new thread)
All this talk of world records...
I can say for sure that I can not reach, let alone beat the WR with my current strategies.
If I get REALLY lucky and everything comes together in one run, I might be able to get close to 2,5 billions, but this is already EXTREMELY unlikely.
@clp
Nice to see you play it again !

I'm happy with this run
I reached the stage 4 boss no miss with 1,967 billions.
Three accidental deaths afterwards.
If I had been able to avoid those and used the three lives for suiciding, it could have been close to 2,5 billions.
Anyway, over 97% of the WR is enough for me

i hope abschüssig didn't get upset and quit playing this. it'd been close to 2 weeks now...if he did beat the WR he must have a heart attack and that's why he's not posting

This was no run with very high scores in the individual stages.
I had something around 1,950 billions before the stage 4 boss, no miss until there.
One accidental death at stage 4 boss and another at the TLB because I had no bomb left.
Plus some minor mistakes in the reflections.
I have to say it really helps to play a harder game directly before the one you want to improve your score in.
Maybe it also helped that I used a crappier pad with that harder game, so it was quite a relief to go back to my regular Saturn pad.

98.75 % of the WR.
Now THIS run was totally amazing.
I made NO mistakes at all until the TLB, even the stage 4 boss went absolutely flawless
Arrived no miss at stage 4 boss with 1,977 billions.
At the TLB, I made some small mistakes, so it could actually have been over 2,5 billions.
I still see no way at all though to get an extra 20-30 millions out of the game for the WR.
This was my last try with this game and I'm totally happy with it, exceeding my wildest expectations.
