I'd like to get my hands on DonPachi at some point, I haven't played it for a while though

Re: London Shooter Meet VIII - August 28th/29th
Well - we can always play it through my supergun and PVM monitor at mine if it doesn't get installed...Smraedis wrote:I'd like to get my hands on DonPachi at some point, I haven't played it for a while though

Re: London Shooter Meet VIII - August 28th/29th
Yeah indeed, so I'll get to play it no matter what
maybe I should have put a bit of time into that game lately too.

Re: London Shooter Meet VIII - August 28th/29th
Me, Smraedis and Lordstar are about to head over. It might be 3pm by the time we get there, but we'll be in town soon!
See you all there. I think most peaople are appearing between 3pm and 6.30pm.
We might well go to the Troc at something like 8pm.

Was good to come down again.
Re: London Shooter Meet VIII - August 28th/29th
I got back not that long ago, had such an amazing time, lots of 1CCs too, will post more tomorrow.
Oh yeah I beat my best on Fighting Hawk again today, they were taking the money out of the machine while I was playing, and the screen was going completely mental at the same time, and I still didn't get hit while it was all happening!
Uploaded the group shots that we did outside Casino

Will upload the rest as soon as possible!

It was great to meet you guys, I really enjoyed it. Casino action was fun and Smraedis´s Time Crisis 4 performance at the "Troc" was dazzling. This man is a machine! I also found Spadgy´s attempt to stomp the hopper thingy into pieces very entertaining. lol
See you guys around next time.
P.S. Spadgy: Please delete that cheap Chinese restaurant from your database...

Yeah - it was embarrassingly horrid! Me at Lordstar found a far nicer cheap Pizza place the next day right around the corner from Casino.
Thanks so much for coming all that way Geist - it was great to meet you.
Re: London Shooter Meet VIII - August 28th/29th
So CHI didn't take you to a good one in Chinatown.
Who made the choice?
There are many awesome Chinese places around the Troc.

It was Will blame him. It was cheap though. the burrito Mexican place that me and Devil soundwave went too was awesome. One of the bar maids had banging ass titties tooDEL wrote:So CHI didn't take you to a good one in Chinatown.

Awesome, I live in London and wouldn't mine attending one of these in the near future even if it's only to see how you guys play and maybe pick up some tricks/tips. It seems I've missed this one but I'll try and make the next one if it doesn't clash with work or other events.

Awww, I should have gone to the Troc. I was turbo hungover on Saturday though. Almost fell asleep on the tube back. Nice to see all the pics

You should of! Still - now you live in Laaaahndaan you can meet us down there anytime!
And if you and your better half ever want to meet up for a non-arcade related drink, me and the wife are always up for socialising. And if you have any on you, bring a couple of otters! Seriously though - come to East London some day. /It's lovely.

The thing that surprised me was that the next day they reported that the suspects were a couple of guys having a routine Hackney gun battle earlier that night and she got caught up in part two.
It was a classic case of 'nothing ever gets reported unless an innocent bystander gets OFF'D.'
Which starts to bring to light JUST HOW MANY GUN BATTLES OCCUR round dem sides.
Hackney is like a weird twilight zone alternate reality island within London. Its not like any other part of the city.
Anyway, back on topic: Love the pics! You guys definitely looked like you had a good time
Wot? That demilitarized zone Hackney. Where that girl got shot and OFF'D whilst waiting for pizza.Seriously though - come to East London some day. /It's lovely.

Holy shit, are people actually talking down Wong Kei? That's a death sentence in London, seriously.spadgy wrote:I put my hands up!

Looks like an awesome meet, wish I had attended, but unfortunately I had to hang out with work people on the saturday and got plastered.

I think the place gets a bad press, and the media massively over-exaggerate. I've only been here three or four years, but around where I live has a great sense of community, is very friendly, and has loads of green space. It's defiantly upbeat, and the sence of community is great. I always have people I pass on the street to say hello to. Hell - right near where I live (Victoria Park) is painfully posh in areas. Shoreditch/Hoxton/Brick Lane is great for going out too, and there's some awesome markets. Sure, there is trouble makers, but unlike Brixton/New Cross/Peckham/Brockley (other places I've lived) they keep themselves to themselves.DEL wrote:spadgy wrote';Wot? That demilitarized zone Hackney. All come over, and I'll prove that it's nice!
That said - I did see a very dodgy guy approach me in the night on my street the other day. That was CHI
