Duality ZF is one of those games that I am planning to buy. But to be honest, I would like to see more than just ball-shaped bullets.

I think that bullets should be glowing, that way you get bigger contrast and difference from explosions and other effects and it becomes more obvious what's what. I really think that's necessary in case of shmups like that.

No, adding glows to bullets is a bad idea in a shmup. When playing, you want to be able to judge your hitbox and the bullet's hitbox as best as possible, so hard edges are best. You can still achieve a high visual contrast with clever use of bullet colors and animations.

Yes, but bullets could leave the glow behind, sort of like when you have a fireball leaving trails of smoke. It would be much cleaner, less confusing and much better looking, in my opinion. Give it a try and you'll see.

I saw the game, didn't play it, but in Ibara explosions are well emphasized, you can differentiate easily, plus you see the enemies coming at you. I was just suggesting and, if Ibara is the style you're looking for, all you have to do is make explosions look more real.

@Matthew

Hey man thanks for adding me to the list, I just noticed it few minutes ago. I've added you too, but just to let you know that I'm new at Twittering, don't know the syntax, so I can only do what can be done with the mouse clicks. That's the main reason for contacting you through here, I just don't know how to send messages on Twitter. I've noticed it has something to do with a @ character.
