R Kelly is EMO.

Post by Zweihander »

totally worth the 20 minutes.

go to www.r-kelly.com and watch the 'trapped in the closet' videos, all 5 of them, in order. i rofl'd, so did my friend when he saw it.

never before have i seen such a laughable display of attempted seriousness. on top of that, R Kelly can't rhyme worth a damn.

Who listens to rap? A few songs are decent, but come on. It's not worth checking a rappers site just for that.

Oh, this was WELL WORTH checking out! Those were 20 VERY enjoyable minutes. Watching "Playa's only" afterwards was the icing on the cake!

R Kelly is a very talented individual.
He's not one of my favorites, but all of you probably danced to something he produced and then when you left the club you was talkin about R Kelly, when you was allready dancing to his shit inside.

And Rap, everybody thought it was just a fade, now it's bigger than pop and rock put together.

Pop is not music.

Rock is OK, I listen to it occasionally, I'm a big Alice in Chains fan.
I guess nobody here listens to rap or dare step forward 8)

Whoa. I think rap is the absolute dope shit. Rock is music for crybabies, pussies, and old people.

Speaking of rap and how it is very awesome...

There is good rap... but most people will never look into it thanks to the idiotic mainstream giving it such a bad image. Atmosphere, Lyrics Born, Skrapz, Del the Funk Homosapien, ROC/Sol46, Eyedea, and tons more are very competent at what they do.

This is turning into the old hardcore vs mainstream debate.

Just because something is popular doesn't make it bad. Okay folks?

um, r.kelly is not rap at all.

also, he is a fucking genius.

he has put out pop hit after pop hit after pop hit. he know's people are laughing at him and he's able to laugh at himself. his new album is great. trapped in the closet is probably the best thing to come out of pop music in the last 5 years, easily.

rap music is good. i like it. thanks.
say, by the way...

I guess this board has been taken over by eleven year olds. oh well.

*Now listen here.......*

*checking out everyone bio's, saying that's whack about everything that's in there*

And I don't even like R Kelly that much, I don't have anything with him in it, but he made lot's of hits and he even raps occasionally, not that bad.

Yeah, I was basing my reply on your musical interests. That's sooooo like me, right. Except I have nothing against rap and don't ever recall mentioning that I disliked rap. In fact, I have a few rap songs myself. Do I listen to them? Rarely, if ever. But you don't care about that now, do you?

Andi, I'm a music elitist now, huh? Wow, glad to know you can make that decision about somebody without them having any indication towards it in the first place.

How am I acting like a total prick, when there's a large amount wrong with what he just said?

R. Kelly is not rap? What? That doesn't even make sense. He's made albums and sold then to thousands of people, your point is? He's a rapper. He sounds like a rapper. It isn't beatboxing or fast rap, but it's rap. Musicians do this all the time and have next to no skill to do it in. Look at Sum 41, Good Charlotte, or Simple Plan. Garage bands can easily become popular, it isn't hard. Look at akon. Who the hell is "akon"? Rappers come and go every minute(remember "Easy"?) so america must be filled with geniuses. Why does this make him a genius again? Because he can sing and sell albums?

Yes, you're right, his post makes perfect sense and has a basis for calling me a dumbfuck. Funny how people can repeat themselves over and over missing the obvious, yes?

Another thing. I wasn't acting like a prick on purpose. Calling R Kelly "rap" is like calling Nightwish "gothic" and Beastie Boys "pop."

I beg of you, visit the site and tell me it isn't rap.

My thoughts exactly.

Anyway, R Kelly got pwned by Jay-Z on the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' Remix.

Well, Beastie Boys are great, Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul are all ok.
And while I don't like 2pac's music, he sure kicks R-Kelly's ass music wise!
Exceptions always confirm the rule though...

Well thanks. Nice to see you took the time and effort to read my posts once again. Calling a person a "tool" is very weak and isn't going to work either. I've already explained my side of this situation, so if you can't see it logically, there's no maturity in that.

I'm sure the mods care oh so dearly about your quality of reading. Which isn't up to scratch by the looks of you not reading what I'm writing properly. Clearly stating that R-Kelly isn't rap means you have not checked that site, and heard the music which plays in the background. I pretty much handled this civilized until your thoughtless attitude arised, so back off. Check the website and tell me it isn't rap.

But you won't, so please keep replying calling me a clown tool etc kthx. Welcome to your opinion.
