London Shooter Meet VIII - August 28th/29th

Meet or mini-meet, we're going to do something at Casino Arcade, London, on the weekend of August 28th and 29th.

We've got the following games in, and either Esprade or Espgaluda II will be added by then (and maybe Skykid could bring something special up for the weekend?):

Ketsui
Progear
Fighting Hawk
Raiden DX
Raiden Fighters Jet
Night Raid
Shock Troopers
A few other older ones like Xevious, 1942 etc.

We can also get down the Troc, and go get some food and all that.

I reckon with a bit of effort, we can get a few people down. I'll send a big group PM later tonight.

Smraedis is staying over at mine on Friday and Saturday. If you're happy with a sofa or sofa cushions on the floor, I might have room for one more.

At least the fact she's doing that means she cares! Not that that make's things much easier when the meets taking place.

I've got this opposite problem to you this weekend. My dear mum (who was lucky enough to raise me before the internet really kicked in, but who still let me go off to Glastonbury Festival when I was 15 with just one mate the same age, which was a little daft back then when it was a bit more of a scary place) is coming up to stay at my flat this weekend. That means the tables turn and I have to play parent, taking her out, entertaining her and making sure she doesn't cause any trouble! I'll have a good time, but I doubt I'll get much socialisng and gaming in!

We need to talk times people - I think I'll be meeting Lordstar and Smraedis there on Friday PM. I'm guessing Saturday and Sunday we'll all meet mid-afternoon right?

some into shmups, some into fighters... some are just Casino veterans from back in the days

Awesome you invited some people down CHI. The more the better.

Looks like Lordstar will definitely be down, and Smrmedis of course.

So a few of us are meeting Friday (including those staying at mine) for a pre-meet warm up.

Saturday looks like the main day, from 2pm through to the evening's close. If you turn up mid evening and nobody is in Casino, we may be in town eating. PM me if you need my mobile number in case. Fear not though, after grub we'll be back. We could do a trip to the Troc too, if we feel the need.

Sunday, starting at 2pm too, but it looks like the quiet day.

I'll bring along Esprade and/or Donpachi just in case the engineer is in town.

I'll try and wear a Lordy tee too!
