What Amiga system to get?

Hello.

A friend of mine wants to get into actual Amiga collecting and such. A search on the forum was fruitless.

It's all for gaming purposes. He can get either a 500, a 600 or a 1200. If there are any other recommendations, please let me know. What would be his best bet, out of all the different versions, and why?

Curiously enough, I was looking for that thread in specific, but somehow couldn't find it. Thanks. I'll suggest a 600 or 1200 series, then.

I think getting an A500+ with the freeware 'Relokick' so that you can boot it up as an A500 is the best bet.
