Enjoying my first Summer since moving to MTL in August. I know that some of use are in the area. Maybe we can setup a meet of some kind.
MTL has a big enough SF scene, I'm sure enough are into shmups.
Anyone in Montreal area?

Re: Anyone in Montreal area?
This reply is super late, but I live in montreal during the school year (ottawa in the summer), and would totally be down for a meetup. Send me a pm if anything ever gets organized!
Re: Anyone in Montreal area?
heh FINALLY!
I go back and forth between Ottawa and MTL myself.
Doesn't look like anything is going to happen until one of us get a cab or two.
I heard there's an arcade warehouse called alouette out here. If I find anything neat there I'll post it here.

I'd like to hear about that arcade warehouse, hopefully they have some nice stuff
. b0ub0u, I'm definitely up for a meet-up when you get back!

Re: Anyone in Montreal area?
well just got back. It was quite a strange place, in one of many industrial areas by the Ikea.
There's a showroom floor featuring some neat stuff and some more odd games like Big Bertha.... ugh
In the actual warehouse I found a rather beat up looking OK BABY that's been rigged for some kind of poker game. The CP is all buttons, even the top of the cab has 2 buttons on it!
The monitor is claimed to be "new", but the whole thing needs a new paint job, and of course a new CP.
best part? they want $500 for it, lol.
The rest of the warehouse had mostly rotting cabs waiting to die, and place with a bunch of parts and monitors.
The people there were really nice and helpful.... And that's my story!

Re: Anyone in Montreal area?
huh, so was there anything good on the showroom floor?
Re: Anyone in Montreal area?
There was a sweet Daytona USA 50" DX Cab. Lucky and Chase. And a bunch of conversions. Nothing else really jumped out.
I believe they make more money selling taiwanese carnival games to various malls or something.
