I believe everyone should listen to the Icelandic band FM Belfast's debut album How to make Friends. They are a little bit like Air only better (without that je ne sais quoi stuffed up their b-hole), but that is not saying much. The album is fucking awesome. Usually to enjoy pop music I have to pretend I don't understand the lyrics, but in this case I'm even glad I do understand them.

One fabulous band, eh? This bloody this.

The three albums that have been on repeat in my car for the past few days:

Death - Human
Morbid Angel - Gateways to Annihilation
Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales

It's nice to see so many metal fans! I just got back from Heavy MTL in Montreal, it was pretty amazing! The headliners included Slayer, Megadeth, Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Alice Cooper, Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie.

Space Bong - The Death of Utopia

Crushing sludge/doom with a healthy dose of noise. The high vocals remind me of Seth from Anal Cunt.

Sooooo gooooood.
Some really nice and angry stuff by one of the bands that
pretty much defined the old-school hardcore scene.

I don't even know what to say, these dudes are just way too awesome.

Here's a weird hodgepodge of albums I've really been enjoying lately:

Helmet - Betty
MEG -STEP
Devo - Oh No! It's Devo!

I've also listened to the new Devo Something for Everybody album but it's really strange to hear them with modern production values. I miss the way their older albums sounded by comparison. "Sumthin'" is an awesome song though.

Obliteration - Nekropsalms

This album is fucking doss. It's basically what Autopsy would sound like if they'd started writing last year.

It's been a while since I've listened to that one. I first heard it at a fucked up time in my life, so that's probably why I didn't like it as much as I wanted to. Their energy reminds me of ATDI in that track you mentioned. (At least I think that's the one...)

Been checking out stuff from the Donkey Rollers. Never really got into the "ravey" sounding techno, but this stuff sounds a bit more modern and to my liking.
