Nice try, Jack. Next time, why don't you make the (removed) chinese characters on the bottom of the email a bit smaller, so they are not noticeable? Try using better english, you know the Presbyterian Church does not aprove of that.

I have forwarded this letter to a deposed Nigerian minister who desperately needs the help of a bank exec like you to move 55 million dollars in gold from there to here. I heard the cut is about 5 millions.

This, childrens, is why you only try to scam people who speak your language. Then again, I've heard my fair share of jackasses rape the English language...and it's the only one they know...

I had a couple of those from various UK banks (Lloyds TSB, HSBC and my bank, Barclays), as well as PayPal. The PayPal one nearly caught me out, and I had to read the website a few times before I noticed that they don't actually ask you to register and authorise a bank account to validate your PayPal account. Also, the microscopic font size in the email was a bit suspicious (since I had to copy-paste the text into Notepad to be able to read it ;)).

Needless to say, it's best to delete the emails as soon as they arrive, or forward them to the fraud teams of the relevant real banks/online payment sites etc.

I'm not sure about PayPal, but certainly the eBay ones, you can forward them to spoof@ebay.com so they know about them.

Always check the "mouseover" links to make sure they match the typed links, at any rate--if they EVER mismatch, DELETED! :x I don't get so many of these anymore, though, since my spam filter is so keenly attuned to these now :)

 !

Sorry, but that was just plain funny.

In fact it's so wrong that I strongly feel about using it sometime (giving all credits to Specineff afterwards alright ;)).

I'm sorry, but people who actually click on their "emails" which are obviously spam need their mentality checked.

One of the (so far) rare moments that I agree on stuff with Elixir!

Either get their mentality checked or gett a lesson in common knowledge! :)
