Cool, didn't know about this. Here is their site, join the forum and bug them to add shooter's alley. ;)

How long has the mag been out? edit: is it just an online mag or print?

I think they've had three issues so far, not sure about that though. It's in print, they were giving out six-month subscriptions a while back (posted offer on threads at TNL and SRK). They do have PDF's of the mag up for download I believe, at least of the first issue since I have it. Not much in terms of shmups but Arlieth's column on Super Battle Opera was nice.

Thanks, mannerbot. Yeah I am reading an issue right now in Adobe. Very similar to GF, I like it so far. They better have at least one page on Mushihime.

edit: i also can't wait to hear what they think of Gunstar Super Heroes.

Yeah, thanks, Mannerbot. I didn't know anything about this magazine. I might have to subscribe because trying to read it in Adobe was a bit of a pain.

Also keep in mind that those guys at Hardcore Gamer are actively looking at sumbissions. I'm no writer, but lots of folks here could probably do articles on companys or games that would be indepth enough to be published.

It would be cool to see a regular here get a small collumn in a mag.

Good, it's packaged like the CD figure is. And THIS time she remembered her underwear. I mean, I don't mind 15-year-old Reko going commando since you have to really look and she's at least of age SOMEWHERE, but this Reko... yeah. Glad she's got something on.

Yes indeed. Now, if I could only decide which of the two alternate covers for R-Type Final I wanted to display....

PS2 version videos at Gpara:

http://mms.gpara.com/movie/mushi/original.mpg
http://mms.gpara.com/movie/mushi/maniac.mpg
http://mms.gpara.com/movie/mushi/ultra.mpg

All videos are 1st stage played by a bad player.

These ones seems to have been captured from a widescreen TV running the game in yoko mode. hehe

It's supposed to be a joke, but I don't get it. Was Final released with a double flip cover? Like Konami Palace series?

That's the worst for me. I always go for economy air, as it's ALWAYS been reliable, however it's when I start reading other peoples first impressions and such, it just makes the wait even longer.

I didn't pay for air mail too. I hope my copy would arrive on or before 22nd. So that I can enjoy the game during the weekend. Otherwise I would have to ...

(1) Bought a regular edtion copy at the local game store, and then sold my later arrival LE online.
(2) Play the MushiHime Sama at the acrade just like yeaterday ( why are those acrade owners are thinking, if they import this game sooner they would have got alot more quarters from my pocket... I also not need to wait sooooooooo long to try my hands on the game.... ).

If they shiped the game right away on Thursday, I should have received it overnight. So that I would nto need to resort to any of the above.

Oh TSS LPP would comes out on the folowing week, this must be my happiest month of the year. :D

Seconded. Like I usually do, I went the cheap route: through play-asia, with a coupon, and with the cheapest (slowest) shipping available. Ah, well...

I have to admit, I almost shelled out for the LE through NCS (after I had already preordered the regular version through p-a), with 2-day shipping, just so I could get my hands on it quicker. My sense of cheapness won out in the end, however.

Now the tension is killing me! :)

That's the pits. Every day coming home from work, almost running up the stairs to my apartment to see if it arrived today...only to be disappointed when the only thing waiting for you is "YOU MIGHT HAVE ALREADY WON!" - type of trash.

So, for Mushi, I paid ~30 USD or so for courier shipping. :D

My only option for my order was courier shipping, since I ordered the LE with a bunch of other stuff. But due to some of the other stuff being the PSP shooters (which aren't released until a week after Mushi), mine won't be shipped out until those are released. Ah well, I only have like two hours awake at home after work anyway, I'll probably be playing it mostly at work during breaks.

Also, much thanks for FMK for the vids. Seeing the same stage in all different modes really drives the point home that they aren't difficulty levels but truely different modes, all which require some specific strategies to beat. Though the boss attack patterns in Maniac and Ultra are from the same mold, the latter's are much more insane.

Speaking of Ultra, what was the warning message on that video? "Abandon all hope, ye who chooseth this mode?"

If I can remember right, it's something along the lines of "Warning your credit wont last long on this mode."

Do you think they'll get enough so I can just walk in and get one of the regular editions? I may have to cancel with NCS if so- Friday sounds pretty good.

I wonder how long this excitement will last.
/me remembers what happened here a week after Espgaluda PS2 was released.

At any rate, the port looks good. Glad to see they've kept the customisable FullAuto setup in, which should make for interesting strategies. I have to wait a bit longer than you guys though before I can play it, since I ordered Mushi and La Petite Princesse together from Play-Asia :P.
