zanac x zanac. $6.00. Would be much better.

At least the eBay prices for copies outa Japan should be going down for those that like the hard copy.

But only by about $0.60. Is that really that much?

Do not neglect Zanac Special Version, even if you think you are done with 8-bit Zanacs. You are not.

I've tended to stick to the NES version. I'll have to give this a try.

I neglect zanac special all the time... zanac neo I do not neglect so far, does that make me dumb?
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I'd love the hard-copy to price just a touch as a result of this. I've always been tempted by a copy.

And great news that the game is a touch more accessible through PSN. Guess it will never make PAL.

yeah, I got it about 2 months ago and was surprised by the gameplay. The visuals aren't anything to throw a fit over but they have a retro charm.

Regardless it was the gameplay that surprised me. The chain reaction bombing is alot of fun. it was more progressive than I was expecting.

Ahh damn, now I gotta get a 1000 Yen card. I have 300 Yen after buying DP and DDP a couple months ago but that won't do it!

Anyone noticed any flaws in the emulation? I have the original, but it's been a long time since I last played it, and it all seems perfect from what I remember. I noticed some momentary pauses inbetween levels, but I'm pretty sure the original does that too.

Can't say playing Special Version made me any wiser. I just think it's every bit as worth playing as [insert your arty high concept cult hyped shmup of choice here]. It's got fun weapons to mess around with and it doesn't feel diluted like some later Compile shmups on default difficulty levels do. Enough said indeed.
