Super Fast MAME Question (automatic inp recording)

Post by Danbo »

Hello,

Is there a way to get MAME (using MAMEUI64 0.138u1 but i can use a different version no biggie!) to automatically record INP files when i play a game, maybe even with the date/time/timeplayed appended to the file name...

Trying to get into the habit of recording INP files but i usually forget to do it, something like this would be useful but i don't really see any option to do it.

Thanks in Advance!

Moved to Off Topic.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Totally not the answer you're looking for, but...batch files?

You're right, that's not really what i'm looking for. i wanna just double click the game in the mame list and have it automatically record bgaregga-29072010-0213.inp . would be super dope if it put my name and the run score in automatically too but that doesnt seem very doable...

thank you for your kind suggestion.

I would love this feature too... never heard of anyone doing it, but you're right, it doesn't sound like it would be too hard to implement.
