Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Re: Boooo! Street fighter x Tekken
The only real problem I see here (to me anyway) is that the Street Fighter characters look more cartoony than the Tekken ones do. Everything else looks okay. It looks like the different fighting engines have clashed decently.

More proof that there's still hope for ASW VS SNK.

The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.

Re: Boooo! Street fighter x Tekken
I have no problem with the idea of the game, but it should be DLC. How you guys can justify paying up time and time again in the era of DLC is beyond me. I bought IV gladly, I skipped SUPER because it was essentially the same game. In fact all the SUPER bits should have been added to IV via DLC. That was Capcom testing the market, now get ready for your 6th monthly update at FULL MSRP.
It does look good gameplay wise though.

Edit: Are you really retarded enough to believe Tekken vs. SF could be DLC? Really?

Re: Boooo! Street fighter x Tekken
Well, I probably wouldn't have picked Tekken to cross over with Street Fighter, but the game looks alright, it's probably not gonna top the other fighter Capcom is putting out (if you know which one I'm talking about).
Hey kids! Start jumping up and down like idiots!!

Super makes the original obsolete, you should have at least part exchanged.neorichieb1971 wrote:I bought IV gladly, I skipped SUPER because it was essentially the same game.

Laziness the game.

I imagine the SF fans will like this, being as the Capcom chars are the same, but the Capcom-ified Teken chars look kinda weird to me and I doubt the Teken fans will approve either.

Why they never localized that one (technically "x", not "vs") is beyond me.UnscathedFlyingObject wrote:Namco vs Capcom!

I'll admit the game looks great, but eventually Capcom is going to run out of game companies to go "VS" with. Seriously. Is the house that gave us GodHand, Killer 7, Chaos Legions and Onimusha going to resort to whoring itself out?

Re: Boooo! Street fighter x Tekken
I don't really have a problem with it being a full MSRP release, because you know what? I won't buy it.
In 3 years time you will have something titled -
SUPER Street fighter vs Namco vs SNK and anyone else who wants to join in.. MSRP $60.. Thank you.
BTW, I did exchange SFIV for store credit, but it wasn't enough to justify another game of the same ilk. I am of the opinion that re-releasing a game with a new mode, some extra characters is really screwing with original content. Whilst Capcom are milking the gravy train they won't budge into new grounds at all. But it could be argued it could pave the way for funding new projects.
As for Namco, I never thought i'd see the day when they would release a sub standard Tekken game and be bitch slapped by Capcom into a crossover game.
So I'm assuming from the negativity aimed at my posts that if a character for SFIV cost $3 to download, plus each terrain you wanted cost $1 you would rather have the disc that includes 25 characters you will never use for $60. I'm of the belief that you should only pay for the content your going to use or like. Example, in the Saturn days there were backgrounds and characters I hated a lot.. I would never use them, yet i've paid for it. In this day and age we have the tech to bypass the "I bought CD for 2 tracks" era. But obviously SF fans (And Tekken fans alike) are excited by any micro progression that is made even if its a full price upgrade.

So your all against that? It’s more of a content change than a new game really, so you could have a marvel pack, tekken pack, darkstalkers pack etc. for the engine, as long as it was built to support that level of change in gameplay. They could still totally redo the UI for each depending on what packs you have loaded and even let you use more variety in the games by mixing what characters are available.

I guess "balance" is a foreign concept to people that only play single player games.
