Recently my Truxton PCB went POP and let the smoke out. No video, no nothing.
I can't find anything visibly wrong with any components. Anyone have any ideas?
Do PCBs have fuses?

Did you plug it in upside down? Check the tops of the caps around the sound section.

It all looks good. I think I had it right. It was acting funny with a supergun (tripping out the power supply). I think it may have be damaged by said supergun, or was going out anyway. It popped in my cab though.Dave_K. wrote:Did you plug it in upside down? Check the tops of the caps around the sound section.

Check filter caps, particularly look for missing ones with bridged legs, or touching legs underneath.
Of course if it has shorted it's probably killed something now.
