It's perfectly usable as it is, it's just a bit too short.

Thanks for the suggestion, though, are there different shaft extenders available for the LS-32, or only that one? I see this site, which I think Laugh from SRK runs also has them, and they're claiming the height is 13mm.

I bet the etokki one is correct, and that they're the same make. There are also longer shafts available if you feel that these won't suffice. www.arcadeshop.de has these, but they're kinda pricey.
