Parodius Da arcade version. The rank system is a killer. And only two extends doesn't help ;_;. I might have to give myself 7 lives on the DIP switches but that feels really cheap since you'd never find an arcade operator that nice. But I feel like I have no choice, the game plays like a high loop of Gradius V if you aren't constantly knocking yourself down with the "!?" powerup. And then accidents happen .

DoDonPachi, got to stage 4, upon seeing the boss, I DIE LIKE AN IDIOT ON THE INITIAL SPREAD [which is painfully basic], losing my last life.
Although, other than the fact that I didn't get to face the 4th boss, the run was pretty good. Started to bomb like crazy around the end though, mostly out of the pure tension of having no missed until the middle of the third stage, and then the fact that this is only the 3rd time I've ever gotten to stage 4 without continuing.

Does your Fighting Hawk pcb Loop?(great great game btw) Only reason I ask, is because i've heard some boards do? I guess it depends on the country, like maybe just the asian region ones loop. I know the Taito memories disc for ps 2 doesn't though.

Still playing DDP, after nearly a month away from dodging bullets it took me a couple of days to shake the rust from my shmupping skills, but now im using the b-s instead of the c-s im finding the it much more easier to dodge in the later levels due to the extra speed.

Ive mostly been praticing but i did do a few 1cc runs and managed to get to the start of stage 6 in one attempt, which is the first time ive done so with either ship

Whoever suggested using the B-S for 1CC runs deserves a sloppy great big kiss from Spadgy.

Playing Sora trial (it has so many improvements over the Suguri series, especially the controls that feel much more refined now, I love it so far, definitely the highlight of Comiket 78 along with Alltynex2nd) and some doses of Gundemonium Collection.

Yeah one of the few good games made for the Jag. Shame they didn't make more 2D games for that system. Jaguar Raiden blew away Snes Raiden, they were both released around the same time if I remember right.

If you're into racing games, Super Burnout is a fantastic 2D Hang-On style game and showcases some of the Jaguar's sprite pushing prowess.

Giving one last hurrah to Raiden IV, working on a scoring run for Arcade mode. Just something to get me on the top 10 of XBL. Only need a measely 2 million more which is easily achieved through boss milking in the first loop. Also, God Mode in Mushihimesama Futari Black Label, it's pretty fun.

I am planning to do 1cc's and some other challenges in some games, however it will be emulated so don't expect every game to go in sync and some of them can create slowdowns. So here it is:

How good is Zero gunner? The levels look a bit samey. Is it better than Gigawing 2 do yaz think?

DDP:DOJ [haven't played in ages [need to boot into Windows because I have no idea what dependencies for PCSX2 I'm missing on Linux], OH GOD I SUCK], DonPachi [I also suck here, but it feels like such a different game than DDP or DOJ], DoDonPachi [eh, rather crappy runs].

Also, I'm realizing that each sequel here is the previous game done better [seriously, almost identical level designs between DDP and DOJ, and loads of similarities in level design from DP to DDP].

I need to stop playing such a variety of games and focus on a single game, at least until I get a confident 1cc.

Played most of my 360 shmups (aka: all except RF1 and RFJ) at Kin-Yoobi Con. Been working on Raiden IV.

Borrowed Thunder Force VI from a friend and had a blast with it despite all the criticism. Full of LOL-killed-in-5-secs bosses but what the hell, it was fun The bad thing is that they charged $60 for this back then and, graphics-wise, it's borderline doujin quality. At times, even Ether Vapor has better missile barrages...

I liked the Hatsune Miku-like voice and the almost Panzer Dragoonish ambience of some moments. And the music was like I was coming back to Ray Crisis. Almost expecting to see Pro-Tor and Sem-Fray.

ive been playing some more DDP over the weekend, mostly ive been using the B-S ship but i thought i would have a quick 1cc run using the C-S and very nearlly beat it. If i hadnt of stupidly thrown a couple of lives away early in the run ild of had enough lives (2 needed with about 7-9 bombs) to bomb passed the last boss. (instead i was on my last life with only 2-3 bombs when i got to the st 6 boss)

anyway im in agood mood since i can smell the 1CC coming

Last weekend I played a credit of Deathsmile v1.1 for the first time in months and I beat my old score by a billion (2.4 bil total), crazy because I didnt even play the canyon and died at tyranosatan.

This weekend I'm playing PS2 Galuda Arrange which rarely lets me see the 4th level. I think it's the hardest Cave game up there with Ibara.

Just 1cc'd Galuda 2 on iPhone [iPhone mode, normal, simplified control scheme w/Asagi] That game eats battery life for lunch and makes my phone feel like its going to melt.
