Anybody out in the Chicago area?

Long story short, I've got a pretty big collection of shmups running on all kinds of different systems and not many people to play them with. I don't find a lot of people in the area who are into shmups, really. I also frequent a lot of the arcades in the area and there's not much as far as shmups go, so unfortunately most of the excitement is to be had at home. If there were more people out here, there could be meetups arranged, but I haven't come across many people.

Any responders out there? I'm in the western suburbs, but I can easily make my way out to other places if need be, as most Chicago folks know, travel isn't much of an issue especially if you work out here.

drboom has hosted some fantastic meets in the past; I'm pretty sure he's planning on having another one sometime (in the spring?).

Was going to PM you, but I figured this thread could use a bump. Really wish I could find someone with some Cave games out this way. I'm considering investing in an Astro City to provide some sort of outlet.

I think I'm going to plan something for within the next few weeks. I just bought a cocktail table Galaga machine and a full size Jamma arcade cabinet with Raiden DX, Raiden, and Strikers 1945 boards for it (and considering buying a few more,) and after I get everything up and running, I think I'll be getting some shmups people together. And Strike Witches will be out soon... I'll be posting soon with some more details once I know my work schedule for the next few weeks. I also met a guy at the mall the other day who commented on my Radiant Silvergun shirt then we talked about shmups for about 20 minutes, so we should have some other non-board people as well.
