Droid is an awesome host with an awesome collection, busted his ass all night making everyone happy by changing out games and cab configurations constantly.

We all need to meet up more often.

droid, thank you so much for having us over. i had a great time playing all the games. you were such a gracious and patient host. i'm really honored to have been a part of the meet. talk about the time passing while you're having fun!

tops: rampart: dang you necronopticous i will get you next time! sinistar: oh man, i saved so much money in therapy being able to blast away sinistar. dragon's lair: puzzling it out with necronopticous and his friend was really fun, and watching dirk perish so often never got tiresome. hilarious. tapper: Budweiser not root beer tapper! fun. gyruss and time pilot: classic shooters it was really hard to get away from. afterburner environmental: dang so many creds i couldn't have gotten away until i got to stage 23-24? smash tv and robotron: really cool innovative input mods on the candy cabs to play these classic games. very very cool. battlezone was freaking hard, and it was fun going to assault right after playing it. then we closed out watching AKRATEN and voltronbadass get some sweet ketsui action.

slops: none. maybe me for being so lame at defender. i need to practice. that game is insane after all these years.

after the meet we all went to get thai food. my fried rice was fluffy and delicious. just really fun talking about games and getting to know everyone. it was great meeting voltronbadass and DewmanSNK. enjoy those fireworks, guys!

it was awesome to be finally attend one of the fabled droid meets!

droid you put on one hell of a meet. Thanks for keeping the games flowing and the cabs rockin!
Got to meet alot of really cool people and had some interesting and thoughtful discussions.

Oh where to start, that Sinistar is a cruel mistress. Such and evil sounding game, really quite an enjoyable cab.
Smash TV was a lot of fun too. Those American joysticks really make you work for the prizes, I think I won a toaster.
Seeing that Dragons Layer cab brought back some fond memories of when I played the port on 3DO.
Me and XRAY2 put in some serious Joust rounds, we kept it friendly and won some co-op bonuses.
Too many other great games to list them all, quite a well rounded collection of gaming goodness.

Eagerly awaiting the next meet droid, you are a fantastic host.

Thanks guys, Im glad everyone had a fun time. It's nice to know we have such a great group of gamers residing in SoCal. It was great seeing old friends as well as meeting new ones! I look forward to having you guys back again very soon. The games don't get much play unless there's people to play em. It's taken alot of time, work and resources to get the games where im comfortable to host regular meets, and I look forward to doing so, provided my wife green lights me Sorry for cutting out at the restaurant as well as the time limitation, but I wasn't sure what mood the SinaSara was in, lol.
I want to extend a special thanks to Stuffmonger aka Dave for arriving early and helping fix the Afterburner cockpit controller so it would be available for the meet. Fixing it literally took about 2 hours!
Already looking forward to the next one...we'll breakout the 4P warlords cocktail and hopefully my other 8 games will be back by the! Thanks again to all that came over last night!

dang, i could get used to this, gaming every week. i have a lot to be thankful for.

Props:
Sinistar (so hard)--getting past each sinistar is such a relief.
Assault--aw yeah gettin there.
Warlords - 4 player perfection, yet again.
And last but not least, The Fonz. There is something so relaxing revving the throttle and hearing Country Western tunes play through the speaker. Plus freakin' Henry Winkler's signature on the cab, FTW!
