Monitor Chassis Replacements

Post by Mikey »

I need a replacement for a junky Hantarex Polo 25". I'm having trouble finding an outlet that will sell a good chassis for this tube - Videocolor A59EAS13x1. I was wondering where others buy these things?

What's wrong with the existing chassis? It's worth noting Polos have one of the best pictures available when in good condition.

It ticks when powered on. A sticker on it says it was repaired before. Flyback was replaced it seems, the large capacitor near power supply has a bulge, and some bits on the neck card look rusted. Tube looks OK, but there's some rust on top. I think it got some water exposure.

That guy fixes them for reasonable prices, and should also have a couple of serviceable units spare if yours is totally ruined.

Well at least I found out that it's a write-off. Can anybody recommend or condemn the 15Khz chassis from www.gdtronics.com ?
