I presume that Radiant Silvergun-style bullet-deflecting sword thing is limited in its use somehow? I mean, it doesn't appear to be from that video, which'd render any real challenge null and void.

There's a time delay before the sword can be used again, so using it wisely is a must. There are some projectiles that cannot be deflected or even hit at all so they must be avoided. This also applies to all enemies as using the sword does not make you invulnerable. We hope you'll give it a go when it's on the service
I'm one of the two developers that created Vampire Rage. It's our first attempt at a shmup so please be gentle
We love all things Treasure and Cave so the influence is definitely there.

Apologies. We ran into a few hitches that needed fixing before we could submit for review.
hello, since you're one of the devs, i'd like to ask, do you intend to release this one for PC anytime? right now, i have no access to live no more, and am not a big suporter of the MS policy of being online to play XBLIG games... so, i may support you, but only if oyu put your game on PC thru steam or whatever you can think of... so, are you thinking about it? (its not like you have to rewrite the whole engine or something!)

Joining Kaspal in the request. I'm not liking at all the way Microsoft handles things (look at the Duality ZF guys, it's infuriating they are making them wait so much to approve the game!). There is quite a bunch of PC people lurking here and Steam is slowly becoming a good option, heck, I got Beat Hazard (according to the author of this game, the Steam people are really good at approving and providing the Steam Cloud support and all that stuff) and Bullet Candy there and several other titles already caught my attention.
And hell if the indie section couldn't use more shooting love. Plus it seems you can get patches, updates and stuff through far faster.
You got yourselves a sale if you consider the option, heh.
edit: most importantly, the game looks neat! Good job, guys.
NOW REACHES THE FATAL ATTRACTION BE DESCRIBED AS "HELLSINKER". DECIDE DESTINATION.
We'll look into the process of getting it onto Steam ASAP.
We'll keep updating the game to improve it with suggestions such as a 'disable screen shake' option and any other improvements that we make whilst working on a sequel.
The game was designed with simplicity in mind, in order for it to be easy for anyone to pick u and play. So there's still room for additions.
