Re: motherboard
Depends. If the motherboard is mATX or ATX, then yes. Otherwise, no (which is the case with many server motherboards).
Re: motherboard
What the hell is this doing in the trading section?
And next time, choose a better (=less generic) thread title.

Re: motherboard
Do you have pics of the server?
If it's a rack mountable server then it's pretty unlikely to fit without fabrication.

In before the move to hardware.
The Trading Station for a shmups forum seems a very odd place to go for this information, but good luck with your quest!

Re: motherboard
No.
Re: motherboard
The answer could be yes depending on the model and how loose the manufacturer was with the descriptor "for servers." Some pics would be helpful.
Theoretically speaking if the form factor of the board and the case match up, you could conceivably call it a desktop (or at least a tower...I've never owned a "desktop" format PC, besides Macs and other non-Wintel things.) And then you need the right amount of cooling and power.
I could plunk my old Proliant 6500 on a desk and call it a "desktop," of course. It would just be too loud to put up with.
If it's an old board just give up and get something new (unless you are doing something special, but looking at that thread title I wonder).
