Best Dreamcast Arcade Stick for shooters

Hi,

I want to buy an Arcade Stick controller for my Dremcast, to play shmups (not beat 'em ups).
I am undecided between the Alloy Arcade Stick (you can see it here: and the official Sega Arcade Stick (you can see it here: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/sega/dre ... he-dc.html) or the Ascii Arcade Stick.
Looking at them, I have an instinctive liking to the Agetek "official" one.
I don't care much for comfort, while I care best for the stick precision.

agetec is the best. But unless you want to mod it, you're better off buying a ps2 hrap and a converter.

None of the dreamcast sticks use arcade parts.

I guess I may get a HRAP 2, not a HRAP, is it equally good ?

The original HRAP isn't very good, though. It scratches easily, comes with a Sanwa stick and Hori buttons. So you're practically just buying a case and substrate (assuming you prefer Seimitsu).

I guess I'll get a HRAP 2 and a Total Port 2. Anyways, my little experience tells me using an adapter always brings some problem. So I guess I'll take the Agetek Arcade Stick too.

they use innovation converters at tournaments so I'd go for that. Total control is good too.

But if you're set on the Agetec, get ready to mod it.

I'll buy this one then and use it with PS2 and Dreamcast (through Total Control Plus). I hope it will work better than an official Agetek Arcade Stick.
