Screw the stress I am out of here

Post by Guest »

Due to large ammount of stress and untrusting members questioning my every post.

I will be taking a leave of absence from selling on this board until people cool down and some decent feedback is posted for me.

Hope to see you all in the future

Sheesh... I read that locked thread, looked at auctions prices and... Wow, I feel so lucky that I never ever felt the desire to own a pcb, not even for my all time favorites.

How can one person corner a market?

I own all the Cave PCBs, am I cornering the market?

Whatever this guys history he's just trying to make some money, what's so wrong with that?

You're not hiking the prices by buying up from all over Yahoo Japan and all the HK and Japanese retailers.

Japhei is a known bootlegger (MVS) who will screw anyone over to make a buck or two.

If you check his for sale thread in the trading forum, you'll see I tried to delete his thread as requested - but alas, the system now has a mind of its own, and it decided he was a form of malware.

RIP BlastAway / Japhie / one of the worst parasitic bastards I've ever had the displeasure of knowing about.

He's been around for that long and didn't get caught/fined for anything? I'm no lawyer but I thought it would be natural North America must have strict anti-counterfeit / bootleg laws.

Oh dear! It seems I upset Japhie by banning him, deleting him, banning his IP range, banning his address, and then posting a useful howto in the trading section on buying directly from Japan.

These are his true colours:

In the meantime, for anyone who wishes to sell stuff on eBay and not deal with him, there is an option (somewhat buried) in My eBay that will allow you to disallow specific people from bidding on your auctions. I would recommend adding him to this list.

That IS weird, though, that he'd deal squarely with console items but for some reason try to rip people off on arcade stuff...maybe he'd hoped that the feedback from the former would make people confident to try to buy the latter (and pricier) stuff? Still, he must've known that it'd catch up with him sooner or later...really odd.

Hey, let's try to remember all the various aliases Japhei has used over the years. I remember he once went by Neo Tokyo Biker Kid. And he was using his mom's account "Caroles Collectibles" on eBay.

In order to do that, you need to A: Call the FBI if it was done online and put an online fraud claim (Ha ha. I haven't heard anything from them from the witch who sold me a fake Silvergun back in 2004)

Or B: File with your local police department a complaint for mail fraud, if he used mail.

You must be willing to press charges, and stick to it. If you accuse the guilty party of selling counterfeit items, you need to provide evidence, and the opinion of an expert, in written with their letter head (arcade distributor, for example) that the PCB is a boot.

In other words, you need to put everything within your power to make sure the creep pays for it.

@BloodFlowers, pardon my ignorance, but I still don't see how you were able to find out it was Japhei. Bastard must have taken grammar lessons, because his st00pid way of riting on teh intarwab for00mz has even improved.

FYI, the game is easily worth that but it's not exactly what I would call a "good deal." Good to see that the transaction worked out alright for you, though.

That Japhei character is quite an asshole, though. Glad to see him gone. I just hope everyone that has pending transactions with him doesn't get scammed, though they probably should have known that it was a likely outcome when they dealt with him.

I'm still not convinced he is Japhai, but I do believer Bloodflowers had the right to do what he did. I have purchased from arcadegod, on ebay, but that is a different medium than a message forum, where said person admitted to, and I quote, "hording" certain pcbs for sales purposes. Just read through all the sales related material, in the trade/cave topics. Bloodflowers made that call because it was not the kind of dealings that are welcome in a community. If that stuff goes on behind the scenes of a sales front, that's one thing, but to allow blatent price gouging in our community is not cool. Especially when "Japan connections" means using a bidding service that any one of us is completely capable of using (thanks for sharing that info, btw, blood). I don't see anything wrong with buying items from him that are reasonably priced. Just don't contribute by buying items that are overpriced and further the insanity.
