Namco Bandai is tomorrow, right? Why wasn't The Last Guardian shown at the Sony conference? And there's no sign of Hudson either. I'm extremely disappointed so far.

Fumito Ueda has a full freedom in Sony and he is the one who decides on such things. Guess he thinks The Last Guardian isn`t ready for a proper showing yet.

Oh and... New Twisted Metal game OMG!!! Haven`t played a good car combat game since TM: Black and Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense.

Well he did show it a year ago.

I'm really disappointed with the new Zelda game; the graphics look like a PS1 game!! I was hoping they'd look more like the Super Mario Galaxy games. I watched the controls demo with Miyamoto, and I really like how Wii Motion Plus is integrated, and the menu system. Still, the graphics just killed it for me.

I'd prefer PS1 graphics over what they showed.

The Silent Hill trailer looks rather promising.
Dead Rising: Case 0 finally somebody figures out how to do a demo.
Portal 2, wow, that might be hard.

My likes...

-3DS, especially if it has achievements
-Donkey Kong Country Returns looks amazing
-Kirby
-Rayman Origins

Still waiting on some Megaman news though.

So the new Silent Hill isn't an SH2 remake, thank god. Might be interesting if it too can avoid piggybacking the dog-tired cult storyline.

Being a huge Zelda fan of everything pre-Wind Waker, I'm also dissappointed in the look of the new game. Link looks like some wack Western fan art and the game looks too cartoony for my Zelda tastes. The N64 games were absolutely perfect in terms of visual design, why can't they just stick to that?

The 3DS is really interesting though, I'm always excited for a new hardware launch.

I thought the art style was the best thing about Wind Waker.
The new one didn't look too great in the press conference presentation,
but i suppose when you have your time to sit down with the game it will be much, much better.
The controls seem to be spot on from what i've read, so i have no worries at all.
Even though the mix between cartoonish environments and semi-realistic link looks a bit odd to me.
And then there's screens like this:

All nagging and nitpicking aside, this one DOES look really awesome.

Totally looking forward to the new Zelda.

3DS blew my mind beyond comparison, though.

best thing about it. It was too short for a start. I think if they really want to get me hot they could do a good Psuedo 2D (like street fighter 4) so its 3d but plays like Link to the past. hands down best Zelda game ever.

I agree with ALttP being the best in the series.

Check out this demo gameplay:

I think i am already starting to like the graphic style.

How the heck is LttP the best in the series? It's even more boring and than Twilight Princess. There are lots of dungeons and items and stuff but none of them are interesting at all, and the graphics are so bland and amaterish-looking. It's probably not the *worst* in the series, but it's definitely down there with TP and the lifeless DS games. Link's Awakening/Majora's Mask/Oracles are the best, easily, with Wind Waker and Minish Cap not too far behind.

New Zelda looks pretty awful graphically speaking, but the controls look kind of cool - run button, it actually looks like there is some challenge to swordplay, monsters take off a full heart when they hit, and good use of pointer controls.
IGMO - Poorly emulated, never beaten.

Meh, still skeptical about that one. They should get rid of those kids and form an internal team that knows what elements are needed to make it retain the atmosphere that made the old ones great. The trailer looks halfway decent, but they didn't show any combat. I will go all *facepalm* if it turns out that they use the same crap battle-engine they created with homecoming. Give me good ole clunky and raw strikes back pleez.

On a brighter note, I'm so going to buy El Shaddai! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHPtP6Cotdk

The trailer's content itself I'm ambivalent about, admittedly (too much spectacle in spots), but I'm glad Vatra seem to be avoiding the obnoxious fanservice that surrounded SH:H from day one. As long as they're making something unfamiliar I'll remain reasonably optimistic. The more recent sequels have been rehash city.

The only things I've seen so far that have interested me have been Hard Corps, Vanquish and the new Itagaki game. Most of the show seemed to be taking the sequel bus through franchiseville.

Did anyone else thing of those security wires that are on camcorders and cameras at Best Buy when they saw how the 3DSs were attached to the women presenting them? I thought that was kinda funny...

It was Nintendo's back up plan in case nobody was impressed by their gimmick.

Well, I said that after seeing one video and one screen shot. You know, after looking at more screen shots of the game on IGN, I think I was being way too harsh. In fact, I really like the art style.

I don't really see why Nintendo need to keep changing the style. No other franchise has its art style changed for every outing.

The first big change was the jump to 3d but then we had this wierd chibbi link after that. Who are we to argue its these universe. They never really flexed there creative muscle too far when its come to the overall look of the game. the most drastic change was the cell shade look. I thought it was a nice change but im going to guess the the mass pop did not?

I took a look at the trailer for the new Zelda expecting crap graphics, from the comments here. Looks good to me.

The first big change came in Zelda II (blah blah never happened etc.) with the shift to side-scrolling, a tall Link, and more detailed and realistically proportioned sprites in general. Then they sort of went back to the original formula (with considerably more animation) in A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening.

I don't know if I've become so jaded over the years, or it's the state of the modern gaming that turns me off so much, but I wasn't fascinated by anything I saw there so far, except for Portal 2 which I had been waiting for since the first game. The new DKC looks interesting, though, I'll be sure to play it on Dolphin and most likely promptly forget about it afterwards.

No idea what to think about the new Metroid since I fail to understand what parts of the stuff shown are actual gameplay, and what are cutscenes. Give me a gameplay of SM with new environments, bosses, items, and music, and that would be exactly what I need. I guess I can't really be called a Metroid fan because SM has been the only game I've ever really loved playing.
