The "new" XBox 360
Re: The "new" XBox 360
If my launch J360 goes the way of RROD, then this is what I'll be getting. It probably will make the bitter pill a bit easier to swallow too. However, if you've just bought a 360 - bit of a bummer. Hopefully this revision will be more reliable (though as I said earlier, my launch J360 has never given me problems - touch wood).
I'm not exited about natal or whatever it's called. The idea of jumping around like a loon to play a videogame is not my idea of fun. Most people agree that a lot of the Wii remote shaking etc, is a waste of time and annoying - this looks like it will be 10 times worse. PS2 eyetoy anyone?

Shouldn't everybody know by now that all Xbox consoles are prone to scratching discs when the systems are moved with a disc inside? That's been the case since the original. And that's why I much prefer vertical holder styles rather than horizontal trays.

For a minute, yeah. Unless you're near the epicenter of a big one, though, life generally gets back to normal pretty quickly.Lordstar wrote:Like someone said in a previous post if you live in cali and you have an earthquake the game inside your xbox is going to be the least of your worries.

I live in southern California, I've owned a 360 for 3 years and play it regularly. None of my 360 disks are scratched (I always keep the 360 horizontal).Ex-Cyber wrote:They live in California?Acid King wrote:Why the fuck would anyone move the system while it's on?

From a technical standpoint, Kinect is a lot, lot more advanced than the EyeToy, and their fundamental approaches are quite different.Specineff wrote:I've been saying this for a year now. Thank you. I am glad I wasn't the only one.
From a practical standpoint, it'll probably get the same gimmicky use 90% of the time.

I bet neither of them would be able to differentiate someone from their dog.

Fun fact: you can un-ban your JTAG 360... which is kinda pointless becauseEx-Cyber wrote:All signs point to "Yes".gct wrote:And will a JTAG unit be banned from Live?
it's going to be banned after a few hours of live again, but hey.
