Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
I just downloaded the collection from PSN. Only tried Gundemonium Recollection so far, but it has unbearable sound skipping issues. (in main menu but also in game). Did anyone encounter the same problems?

That's... really weird. We never encountered anything like that in testing that I know of.
Can you give me some more information on your PS3 and gaming environment?

Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
It's a Japanese launch model. I upgraded the hdd some time ago, so maybe for some odd reasons this is related. However I never encountered a similar problem with any other games I've played so far (far over 100+ titles).Sara wrote:That's... really weird. I have another new slim PS3 model here. Will re-download the games on that PS3 later today and give it another try. It was really absolutely unbearable, the sound was skipping all the time.

Is it just me or does Clover no longer vacuum in gems any more? I know one of the characters did.

Yeah, it was like that in the newest patch of Hitogata Happa. There's a few other changes too, such as Rooty's basic shot and Fool's Flow bomb range.Elixir wrote:Is it just me or does Clover no longer vacuum in gems any more? I know one of the characters did.

Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
I've experienced that with these games, but I also experienced it with MK II. Try rebooting the console and the problem usually goes away. Seems to be most prevalent when the PS3 is downloading in the background.ex.machina wrote:I just downloaded the collection from PSN. Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
Yeah, we could NOT get the newest patch for Happa, unfortunately. It's a long story and I can't really give details as business workings are basically trade secrets by technicality I think.
Suffice to say it wasn't possible for reasons out of EVERYONE'S control.
The other two are actually more up to date than the Japanese patches as far as I know, since not only did I fix a couple bugs, but the version numbers were higher when I got them...
If we were able to get the source to the latest version, I'd try to push for a patch, needless to say.
That wasn't possible at the time, though...
The English version is based off of 1.10, for better or worse.

Ah glad to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this. I tried rebooting the console but unfortunately the problem remains (I got no background downloads running).njiska wrote: I've experienced that with these games, but I also experienced it with MK II. I will test this on my other console now...

Throwing out a recommendation of this collection on my blog.
The only major bug difference between 1.10 and 1.12 seems to be "fixed a bug where the scores would sometimes add twice". I guess this could mess up the leaderboards if so.

For the sake of information gathering I'm running on a 120 GB US Slim. About 20 gb worth of software on it. I'll do more testing tonight.ex.machina wrote:Ah glad to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this. I also just tested Gundemonium Recollection on my second PS3 system (slim console, 250GB I think but no exchanged hdd) and I still got the same sound problems.

This is very... very weird. I haven't figured out any possible cause here so far.ex.machina wrote:I also just tested Gundemonium Recollection on my second PS3 system (slim console, 250GB I think but no exchanged hdd) and I still got the same sound problems.
It REALLY shouldn't make a difference but what kind of cable are you using?
Have you tried changing video/audio settings to see if it changes anything?
Hoo boy. I kinda have a bad feeling about this, honestly.

Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
I tried this on two completely different setups with two different consoles. Both consoles have quite large hdds (500GB, 250GB), but the 250GB one is from an official model, so I did not exchange it. What I can assume is that the game is maybe streaming the music from hdd and the access is not fast enough!? It sounds like a bad pressed CD with data stopping and skipping from time to time.Sara wrote: This is very... very weird. I haven't figured out any possible cause here so far.

I understand what you're saying, but it's really weird. That shouldn't be possible.ex.machina wrote:I tried this on two completely different setups with two different consoles. I know it's really happening and I definitely will be looking into it...
There just isn't much I can say right now other than trying everything you can to see if anything makes a difference...

Oh man, I just lucked out on Hard mode. Managed to barely scrape through the first and second bosses on my last doll. Haha, I have a feeling I'll be #1 for awhile.
The stuttering issues have only happened to me when I've been downloading other things, or occasionally in the fourth stage.

Just wondering, the PC version of Hitogata Happa is patched to the latest? Or will you guys eventually release any missing updates for it later?

Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
I'm loving the record-to-youtube feature in these games! Wish the game had an explanation for the scoring system and everything, though, it's all very confusing with Gundeadlign and Gundemonium. I guess it has something to do with killing enemies with the mana attack so you cancel their bullets, or something? And what's the point of doing that square+circle move (really obnoxious button combination, by the way)?

The PC version is based on the same original game version as the PS3 version.Observer wrote:Just wondering, the PC version of Hitogata Happa is patched to the latest? Or will you guys eventually release any missing updates for it later?
It most likely wouldn't be possible for us to fix that problem, sadly.
It's out of our control.
To get extremely high scores, follow all of this. To get better scores, just make note of some of this:kengou wrote:I'm loving the record-to-youtube feature in these games! Don't die, get as much Friction as you can (let bullets pass through you without hitting your fatal point).
Keep your Phase Level as high as it can possibly be. Demonic Shift (Mana+Bomb) can help with that.
If you don't like the button combination for Demonic Shift, set it to its own button in the config menu.
Demonic Shift sets Phase Level to maximum instantly, but at a cost. Use it only if you can handle it.
Do NOT use bombs, except for the sake of triggering a Demonic Shift.
Finish parts of stages in as little time as possible. You can use your Mana Action to make that easier.
Be warned, though, that when time is slowed, the stage time continues at the same rate.
Edit: It didn't come to the EU store this week. As soon as I have more info on the EU release, you'll hear it.

Nope. Sorry. Remote Play is supported, but as far as I know, there are no plans for a PSP release.Jockel wrote:This won't be available for the PSP i presume?
This could maybe change if the game were to do extremely well, but I doubt it.

Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
I grabbed the Gundemonium Collection and really enjoying it so far. No sound skipping on my 60GB, even while I was downloading other games in the background.
I always jump right in at the highest difficulty and these are definitely a challenge. I've played GundeadliGne the most so far and I'm sitting at #1 ranking for the moment... probably be knocked down quickly once people get skillz on lower difficulties and move up though.

So, games are out on US PSN for sure, but there was no sign of it on the EU PSN update this week. I'm sad.

Anyone know the conditions to unlocking the true last boss? Is it just.. suicide bomb the brain, or..?
Edit: Just tried in practice. Suicide bombing the brain doesn't unlock the TLB... so, what are the conditions?

Re: Gundemonium Collection coming to PSN
I am having an absolute blast with Gundemonium Recollection and GunDeadLigne, but for some reason i'm having a very hard time getting into Hitogata Happa. Maybe it's the hit box size? I don't know. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make the experience enjoyable?

My sound is buggy too. I'm running a 500 GB HDD, and I have the same problems with SSF2HDR and MVC2.
