You're missing:

Last Hope LE (the one in the double CD case)
Under Defeat LE (can't remember right now which one you've pictured, the LE or the Standard Ed.)
Shikigami no Shiro II LE (double cd case with slipcase)

Hey, I avoided this topic because I assumed it was going to be someone asking about getting a DC list instead of doing about 5 minutes of research.
Now at least I can rest assure knowing which games come in which style case

And if you are going to include REZ, Bladder Force (chuckle), and Cotton, you might want to also include Cannon Spike, Charge and Blast, House of the Dead, etc.

Thanks Fudoh ;)
The under defeat limited and normal edition have different cover?
Shikigami no shiro...I've the limited edition, yes, it has 2 cd....but in different case....the game case is the same...the cover is different?
Thanks a lot for the info about last hope...i didn't know that...i will search the right cover.... ;)

And if you are going to include REZ, Bladder Force (chuckle), and Cotton, you might want to also include Cannon Spike, Charge and Blast, House of the Dead, etc.
when i was preparing the list....i wasn't sure about these games.....maybe you're right...they're not really shmups....
I will remove them, ok? ;) (EDIT...I REMOVED THEM ;) )

Sorry for my english...

The only weird one in the list is Bangai-Oh. The rest seems to be fine.

Under Defeat LE and regular have different cover artworks. The regular edition looks a bit darker overall. There's also a small orange text box saying "Genteiban" or "Limited Edition" in the bottom left corner of the LE you pictured.

Shikigami no Shiro 2's LE cover is not really different, but apparently the artwork is larger and the cardboard slipcase deserves to be mentioned.

I love that cover.

Also: how is Rez not a shmup? At very least it's a shmup with rhythm game elements.

I think Bangai-O fits the bill, too.

Woah! I just came to shmups forum to ask for a list of Dreamcast shmups, and I saw this! Great list.

So, why did I wanted to know about DC's shmups? Because I just saw this:
SEGA Europe has today announced plans to bring classic titles from its popular Dreamcast console to Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network later this year.
Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will be the first two classics made available.
I was wondering if they're going to port any shmups to 360 :)

No, because Sega didn't make a single shmup for DC. (Sega Ages doesn't quite count)

Not only that, but the versions of these so-called Dreamcast games being released on XBLA/PSN are actually ports of the PC versions of said titles (not the DC originals).

Question about Shiki II's LE - is the game itself individually sealed, within the outer cardboard slipcase?

Great list, Aripug. :)

Great list, Aripug. :)
Hey BIL, the game and the soundtrack are both sealed separately and slide into the cardboard.

I like the list-- one of the great shmup line-ups of all-time-- but I don't see why Bangai-O is on it.

I never could get myself to buy the unofficial releases. From what I hear I'm not missing much.
