Why would they even think of doing that? At most, they'd lop off the last 2 pages or so and make a new thread of it: "Bitching about the dialogue in DS NA".

And really, this isn't going to stop until the release of the game. So 2 more weeks.

And it seems that MS are trying to get the MBL 1.1 achievements working. For the second time in the past week or so, I noticed that the listing went to 1500pts instead of 1250pts (with 70 achievements instead of 60), but the newer achievements that I'd unlocked weren't added. Chances are that it'll be back to 1250 and 60 when I turn on my console later.

All Americans are PAEDOPHILES and cannot help but have sexual stirrings when looking at a child or representation of one. Additionally, all Americans are FILTHY CHRISTIAN SCUM who subscribe to Jesus' philosophy that, in the wake of temptation, they must excise the temptation from their life. Upon seeing Casper, the average American is unable to control the flow of blood to his loins YET FEELS an intense moralistic revulsion at these feelings of warmth. However, since all Americans are FUCKING PUSSIES and afraid to cut out their eyes (the real source of the temptation), they seek to destroy all artistic representations of children. So what the American soul exhibits is a classic combination of degeneracy, moralism, and cowardice.

Yes, the thread could be split, but I also think this thread has long since run its course - those of us who have imported the game have had well over a year to discuss it and all the DLC that has come since, and those of us who haven't played the game obviously have nothing useful to add that hasn't already been argued to death until the game comes out. I could honestly do without the pointless playground antics this thread has become and will continue to be without some sort of intervention.

As far as I know, the only people who said they were cancelling preorders were ones who already own the game, so it's somewhat understandable. The only new content they would be receiving is the translation, and if they find that aspect inadequate, why spend money on it? :?:

For people who already own it - If it plays on a J360 it's worth getting because it will have the DS update, MBL and MBL 1.1 (hopefully) all on the disc. Therefore, in the future when Microsoft is just a memory you'll have your hard copy ready to go and not have to rely on servers that went down with "the event".

Hasn't been announced yet, but I'd assume it'd follow suit with the other Aksys 360 games that got a standard release shortly after the LE.

Exactly. People seems to think that the US version is the only one available in the universe and not buying it based on the ridiculous translation is even more ridiculous. Wake up, some people here are playing this game since 2007, some others just bought the japanese port like 2 years ago. I personnaly own the 2 different version of it already. The US version is clearly not a must buy for everyone and what is the main difference between a japanese and a US game ? The language. If I feel like I don't like it, I have no reason to buy it.

Keeping with Aksys tradition there's probably a standard edition coming once the LE's have shipped.

Now here's a a better question. How many LE's, sans faceplate and CD (Essentially making them standard editions), will end up on the Gamestop Used X360 shelf in the first week of sale?

If you've ever looked at the expiration date on MS downloadable stuff on XBLA (tv shows, game add-ons, etc) it's set something like 200 years in the future. So MS is legally required to keep it alive due to this contract they create with you when you buy and download things for well beyond our lifetimes. Only MS going belly-up would kill it, and that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I really, really doubt there's anything in the terms of service that makes those expiration dates binding to that degree.

It's irrelevant. By that time all iterations of the 360 will have been hacked. People are already making title updates and DLC packs available on the net for people who own JTAGd 360s. Non of that data is going to disappear, regardless of what happens to Microsoft.

It's really strange how the people in this forum claim have not time to play and do any thing decent in one game but find time to write useless stuff.

B/c you can write on forums at work, but it's hard to play your console/super gun w/o getting busted.

Isn't that what its been doing since the MBL 1.1 DLC came out, though? I've never seen the total rise to 1500 on Xbox.com.

Not in the My XBox tab (or whatever it's called). The gamerscore listing was a constant 1250/60 up until a week or so ago when I noticed it occasionally changing to 1500/70. As of last night, it was still displaying 1500/70.

Yeah, the total on any achievement tracker website is still 1250/60.

BTW, do we confirmation on what the final secret achievement in MBL 1.1 happens to be?

For whatever it's worth, Siliconera is still saying that MBL 1.1 is included on the disc.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this but did anyone else realize a price adjustment for Canadians?

It's now 54.99 on Amazon.ca compared to 64.99$ from before. Thought I'd mention that :)

I'm just gonna play the optimism card and hope that professional reviews and newcomers aren't gonna give a shit about the dialogue. I mean hey, GameSpot completely disregarded the plot to Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia in their review and didn't bother to learn what all the stuff on the HUD for Space Invaders Extreme is, surely they can ignore the dialogue for a game that's 1/20 as long as Ecclesia.

It'll be torn apart because they'll credit feed their way through level1 difficulty and deem it too short, say it should have been an Xbox Live Arcade release or been priced at $20 like Raiden Fighters Aces. All 5 scenes of dialogue won't matter in the grand scheme of things for them.

I predict nothing higher than a 6/10 from major sites/publications.

Makes me wish I had access to an X360 dev kit. I can get a build from Aksys no problem, but I've got nothing to run it on.

True, but I'd prefer "blah blah blah generic shmup crappiness except with gothlolis plots are for losers" over All Your Base mkII. Then again, Zero Wing is okay at best, from what I've played of it.
