Best Xbox Shooters

Well, at the carboot sale last Sunday I was lucky enough to pick up a modded Xbox and its working well.

What shmups do you recommend for the X-Box - doesn't seem to be that many -looking at the xenocide files- whats been missed off the list- both PAL Jap and NTSC?

I think it just had:
Psyvariar 2: Extend Edition
and the Shikigami no Shiro games

It did have some Metal Slugs though.

Xyanide was released for the Xbox in NA region only. Never tried it personally, looks average to poor but may be worth checking out?

With a bit of looking online you should be able to get MAME, FBAXXX and a ton of other emulators. That's what I mainly use my old xbox for these days.

Xyanide was pretty cool for a rail type shmup, but I'll never know how good because my copy would crash after the 2nd stage.

Thanks for the suggestions- yeah- I thought about filling it full of emulators- make a good MAME machine at least!

Psyvariar 2 is an awesome game with a tonne of scorng potential. I'm not massively qualified to comment on the nuances of the Xbox build though...

The only shmups I have for the first Xbox are Psyvariar 2 and Shiki 2. Both are Japanese imports. Note that modding an Xbox to play imports also mods it for other things.

Xyanide was pretty fun, had an interesting power up system. More of an arena type shooter with a moving background more than anything, the game was also ridiculously long... I played it for over an hour once and still hadn't beaten it!
