Spent the weekend at Disneyland, and got another one of these character sketches:

As noted earlier in the thread, I got one of Donald Duck flipping out when I went to Disney World about a year and a half ago, and I love the way it looks, so I made it a point to get another one on this visit.

Don't have pics but I bought a 3000 Yen PSN code yesterday and received the code in my email this morning. Downloading Raystorm HD now and Donpachi later. Anyone have any good ideas for other JP PS1 games I could download? I have Thunderforce V, Einhander, and both R-Type games already. I'd love either a good 2D platformer or a shooter. Is there anything else worthwhile on the JP PSN or should I save my extra Yen for down the road?
EDIT: Nevermind. Just noticed that Dodonpachi was put up today! YAY for me!!!

LSD
Cost you a pretty penny?

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
¥15000 – which is expensive, but still pretty good for this game I reckon.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Too bad the actual game isn't even nearly as cool as it sounds.CIT wrote:¥15000 – which is expensive, but still pretty good for this game I reckon.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
It's more expensive than actual LSD... Videogames, go figure.

I've quit my job and am in the process of setting myself up to be self-employed. One of my first business purchases has been a new laptop.
My needs were light - a bit of word processing and emails.
Obviously, there was only one choice:
Alienware M11x

WTF, it's a business deduction
This rig is one sexy beast!!

Got this collection locally. Everything in the bottom 2 pics I will probably sell or trade at some point. CD Drive doesn't work yet, but I know you can get replacement parts. I will probably try greasing the gears before giving up all hope on the drive and getting a new assembly for it. Not a dealbreaker in the least as I have a Duo to play the CD games on anyway.
edit: adjusted one image to be clearer and forgot to mention this system is RGB modded.

I got a Memorex VIS, woo!!! (Now to go back and see if it has the controller, ehh)
It's not guaranteed that having one lying around will cure me of my tendency to think of it as the "Intellivision VIS." Where that came from, I can't guess.

It's cool - I bought it with an insurance payout from a burglary on my place a few months back.Lordstar wrote:This is why a whole load of biz fail in there first year. I'm a criminal lawyer - I will be getting briefs to prosecute jury trials from our Director of Public Prosecutions.
I'm being very cautious - one days work will cover a month's overheads so everything on top of that will be income.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
I am a bit of a flashlight nut, so I have added a new one to my modest collection today - 4Sevens Quark AA (R5). At least I am still not as nutty as those freaks over at candlepowerforums, my only other good light is a Leatherman Serac S2... Also bought a 4-pack of Duracell pre-charged NiMH AA batteries, these Made-in-Japan cells are apparently re-brands of Sanyo Eneloop which are very highly regarded.

I need the long shelf life of these batteries since I plan to keep this lamp permanently stored in my scooter as part of my emergency kit. If these batteries turn out to be good, I may eventually change all my current NiMH cells over to Eneloop. It is rather annoying when I have friends over occasionally and I suddenly find out the batteries in my Wii Remocons have drained themselves out...
