There's A LOT of retro collections/compilations being made recently, think Treasure will be convinced to do the same?

Well it is very difficult with all the publishers they have had and copyrights. There is Nintendo, Sega, Enix, and ESP (this is just JAPAN).

Masato Maegawa said once "Next year will be our tenth birthday. We'd want to release a CD with the most famous tracks of all our games, or something like that... it seems quite hard to do, when it comes to copyrights, but well, "we want to do something", that much is sure."

I would personally be happy with a remake of Sin and Punishment. If any game deserved a better graphical presentation this was it (don't get me wrong , they squeezed all they could out of the N64.)

That's a bummer. Are the copyright issues there, because they made certain games as exclusives or something?

If they do end up doing something like this, any of us who coughed up the cash for RSG will probably try to invade their HQ and demand our money back, heh.

It will be futile. You will realize you forgot to get weapons (due to lack of money from getting RSG) and will have to endure their advanced security robot's tactical firepower for one minute before you can reach the front door of their building.

Back on topic, Sin/Punishment DS (or Dual Sin & Punishment)?

Wasn't their tenth anniversary in 2003? Did they even release anything in 2003 other than Astro Boy?

2002, and as far as I know, they released nothing concerning the 10th anniversary.

No. Treasure is a lot of things (good and bad) but one thing I can respect is their integrity. I wouldn't mind seeing a compilation pack, but I like the fact that they won't go for a quick cash grab and they value their games enough to not re-release them or put 10 of them on one disc.

Bah, RSG is overrated... (just my thoughts)
havent played my copy of it for almost a year now...

anyways, i do hope Treasure will release a retro pack... heck, Alien Soldier, Gunstar Heroes, YuYuHakusho, "that MC donalds game", Sin and Punshiment, RSG, etc.. on a compilation would be nice :D :D

I doubt they would do it.

I mean how could they, most of their games push the boundaries of the origonal console each game was developed on. It would take alot of hard work to get an exact emulation on a compilation. In most cases the emulation would be only for one or two games.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Heh, I think we ought to get together and create a big mock-up pirate ship, and roll it up to Treasure's HQ, with all of us angry Silvergun owners aboard in full pirate garb, howling bloody murder and waving cutlasses with blades in the shape of Saturn controllers over our heads...

I, for one, would love to see an Alien Soldier update... I mean, exact same game, heavily improved visuals. Still 2D, but in high resolution, and more realistic explosions. And, of course, engrish fixed.

[EDIT]

*sees topic on Treasure's Sega Ages pack*

Hmmm, that could be it... what, PS2 only? Damn. I swore I'd never get one of those.

Still waiting for the punchline. SEGA is doing the remakes for Alien Soldier, Gunstar, and Dynamite Headdy as part of the SEGA AGES line, I don't see the iniative or involvement of Treasure.

Nah, it's just a matter of figuring out the patterns in their security system. Being Treasure, I am sure they even made their building like a level from one of their games. Where you can slide, jump, grab security guards and toss them to their comrades, make them blow up in a lovely explosion, bash them for cash, reflect/absorb bullets as long as you are the same color, dodge their impressive attacks, team up with your partner to deliver devastating attacks, all while racking up lots of points.

And get this: As colorful as their place might be, it's all 64 colors out of a palette of 512.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.

I think Treasure ain't with that releasing old stuff thing.
Even though they know they can make money they will probably resist.

That untill they get new management/takeover, etc..
